Residents in Sams GutterĀ Marigot had blocked traffic to protest their grievances with the state of the road.
The protesters had wanted their concerns to be addressed by the chinese officials in the area who they believed were directly involved with the sate of the road.
The road has since been cleared after the arrival of an MMC representative to the area who agreed to the residents demands.
Below is an interview with a passing driver who was blocked by protesters and decided to put himself forward as their representative to DNO.

Dominica looks neglected and dilapidated. Too many buildings and roads are in a serious state of disrepair. Where have the billions of CBI money gone?
Where is the massive outrage from the whole of civil society? The derelict physical conditions of the country and the dire economic hardships justify a strong level of sustained protest.
Dominica is being captained like a rudderless ship. Tossing and drifting at the mercy of mother nature. The ship of state is taking on water and about to submerge with all its passengers. Only a few onboard at the helm have lifeboats. The rest of the passengers are about to meet a watery grave.
Giraudel road also getting ripped up badly by big trucks delivering to government housing project in Eggleston. whats the point of building one thing while simultaneously destroying another?
Marigot Sam’s Gutter is just one very bad spot. How about the Palmtree corner, the Temple bridge over Eden River, the two Londonderry curves, etc.? MMCE and CR5 know of them all. Thanks to residents of Sam’s Gutter for stepping up!
