The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has noted with deep concern reports of death, injuries and displacement in our sister Member State, Haiti, as a result of heavy rains and flooding over the past weekend, and the earthquake of June 6, 2023.
Our sincere condolences go out to those who now grieve the loss of loved ones, homes and livelihoods.
We extend our arm of friendship to the Government and people of Haiti at this very challenging time and assure them of the continued support and solidarity of Member States of the Region as they seek to recover from these disasters.
Correct!!! Their soldiers are supposed to be on the frontline. They should be united in binding together to try to extricate Haiti from her perennial misery.
CARICOM’s inaction speaks even louder than their words. Yes, CARICOM says that they care about Haiti, but not one of the members exercise that care.

CARICOM is all TALK no ACTION. Action speaks louder than words. CARICOM is an idle, useless assembly of highly indebted, corrupt countries.
Salisbury people in thier beds they get assaulted by RSS. They need to send them cite soliel. Mia and skerrit lead the troops. Now is the time to show the true value of RSS. Bunch of cowards. Caricom is an outdated useless organization.
Shaka, I thought of the same thing. Monkeys know what tree to jump on.
No other country in CARICOM needs more help presently than Haiti to restore law and order. Where is the RSS?
Not because this organisation (RSS) is maainly comprised of Countries of the OECS, it can be called to assist a fellow CARICOM sister or brother.
Right now, Mia is more obsessed in pushing the LGBTQ agenda throughout CARICOM states. I hope she is stopped in her tracks.
@Ibo, you are correct. These paper and pencil pushers want to sound important so they issue irrelevant statements which are in effect like water off a duck’s back. Waste of time. When the suffering people of Haiti think of getting help these clowns don’t show up on the radar.
