DEAR BELLA: My neighbour’s neglect of her children is heartbreaking

Dear Bella,

My neighbour needs to be jailed. I say this because no other woman on this planet treats her children like this.
This woman leaves her children unattended and goes to fetes and parties.
A different man every weekend. Her children are two little girls and one boy.
I constantly have to give them food. Sometimes she leaves on Friday night and comes back on sunday.
Always dressed up with latest clothing. Every tin that beats, she’s there and her children hungry and untidy.
It breaks my heart. What should I do? These children cannot suffer anymore.

Dear Help
Your concerns are legitimate and you should consult the social welfare division. This is child abuse clearly.
It is one thing to give them a meal every now and then but what about their general health?
I would advice you to take this matter ro the relevant authority.
Children need to be in the hands of guardians who are responsible. Clearly she is not.
Best,
Bella

How old is this mother? How old are her children? It takes a village!!!! Being a mother is a lot of work. Being a single mother the work triples. God bless her and all that are involved in this situation.
    Nuff Said ❤️??

I don’t mean to contradict Bella since she is trained in these matters but have you ever sat down with your neighbour and had a heart-to-heart talk with her about this matter?

I did not get her age from your letter. Is she 19, 25 or 30? Maybe she has never grown up or has no idea what parental responsibility mean.

Before reporting her to the authorities or bringing in outsiders, you could try talking to her about how her behaviour is affecting her children and even you. If that fails to get her attention and a change in her behavior, then by all means follow Bella’s advice and consult the social welfare division.

Cannot believe this Bella story is real. If the lady cares enough to write to this Bella, she would have alerted the appropriate authorities first.

@ Help: you are the interim mammy now. I am sure you enabled your neighbor by agreeing to watch her kids once or twice, then she took her foot on you.

Face it my girl, you’ve been played.

This is why we have so many mamma wats in this country. Too many enablers.
