Dear Bella: I live in Antigua I got to know about this Dominican girl when she came to Antigua to visit. At that the time she was in Antigua she was shown around by a friend of mine. I saw pictures of her and she is beautiful. I have made aggressive advances to her, but have come up short.
I found out that she may involved with a guy studying overseas, but I know these long distance relationships never work. How can I approach her without turning her off?

It sounds like you are looking for advice on how to break up a relationship. If the young lady acts like she is not interested and is putting up a defense then she is faithful and committed to her boyfriend and you should just respect that. While it’s true that a lot more long distance relationships fail, rather than succeed you are not in a position to determine whether her relationship with her current relationship will decline, and if you have told her that as a way to get with her that is already a bad move.
Women do not like to be harassed by other men especially when she is giving the man a cold shoulder and he does not get the picture. I’m not saying that you can’t act friendly with her; however you may be turning her off with your aggressive advances. If it so happens that one day your predictions about her relationship not working by all means you can fight for her love. Yet if she’s not looking for a lover in you don’t try to push it.

Dread I agree with you try a ting. See if she fall for your bait, all woman is de same, dem say they want a good man but all they want is attention, doesn't matter where they get it from. It dont work!!!,I tryd it about 3 times,in D/ca, I proposed twice,but it seems that allthe ladies wanted was monetary in put,so now when ever I come down I just play the same game like them,all may not be alike,but I'm not taking that chances,and partner leave D/ca woman alone! find a Santo Domingo ladie,they are serious ones.
long distance works at times,and sometimes it does not.i do not like when people would just say straight off that it cannot work.it all depends on the couple and the relationship which they share.i strongly agree with drlove,trust and understanding does play a vital role in any relationship,be it short or long distance.
