STAY WELL & SPARKLE – Is A New Body I Want

Dr. Sam CHRISTIAN (1)“…or at least Doc, just suck out all that fat from my belly. How come you guys cannot do that?!”

If I had penny for each time somebody told me that (you know the rest…)

Well, good news!

The Complete Health Improvement Program (C.H.I.P.) – the #1 rated international lifestyle program – is now sweeping into the Caribbean. Founder, Dr. Hans Deihl, is a professor of Preventive Medicine. I endorse CHIP 100% because it is based on the same proven scientific and spiritual principles I wrote in my book, Mannafast Miracle, back in 2007. Please note the emphasis is on health, not weight. No doubt, you know of many normal-sized people who suffer serious chronic maladies as well.

Nurse Prevost

Nurse Prevost, who heads CHIP locally, is well acclaimed across the region for her accomplishments in wellness and health promotion. Let us not forget that DOMINICA RANKS FOURTH IN OBESITY in the Caribbean. This is unacceptable. We doctors personally deal with the ravages of the associated Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (C.N.C.D’s) such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. We are good at prescribing Metformin and Insulin, Atenolol and Lisinopril etc., but not very good when it comes to preventing the diseases from taking root in the first place.

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Challenges

The ideas in CHIP are really nothing new. Lots of good people have been advocating this for as long as one can remember. The difference is that now we have highly organized program effective in applying these principles to transform the lives of over 70 thousand and counting worldwide. Now, it’s your time.

We live in a culture of diet fads, colon cleansing and detox. At the end of the day, the weight roars back with a vengeance, leaving a trail of broken promises, frustration and depression. Not everybody will, but for that someone needing a breakthrough today, the ‘happy’ video below will spark your motivation to do something special.

Each participant receives a CHIP kit consisting of a cookbook, workbook, test book, water bottle and pedometer. They will measure your BMI, HgbA1C (special sugar test) and Cholesterol. You participate with interactive videos on exercise, reading labels, relaxation response and more. Get ready for the program to make a dramatic change in your medical condition, moods, energy level and wellness measurements. You well see and hear the thrilling personal experiences from ordinary Dominicans whom you probably know quite well.

I’m issuing an all points bulletin this Father’s Day– save our men! As with most wellness programs, women predominate. Not surprisingly, they live 10 years longer – across the board.

In Dominica, size is celebrated. The distortion unfortunately extends those places of refuge where we nourish our souls. There, we are more likely to be directed to decree good health and rebuke diseases. In this day and age, believers need to arise and  do a little better than that. Because healthcare is largely free in Dominica, by incentivizing citizens to make wholesome lifestyle choices, we help prevent these diseases in the first place and in turn, lower the national health budget for all of us.

You have probably heard the story of the man trapped on his roof by the rapidly rising floodwaters. Fire and Rescue tossed him a lifeline from a nearby hillside, but he shook his head, saying, “God will save me.”

Two coastguardsmen rowed up with a boat and urged him to climb inside.

“No, he replied, God will save me.”

A helicopter dropped down a basket-rope for him. He pushed it away, trusting God to roll back the floodwaters and save him and his house in Jesus name.

Well, the flood did what floods do and finally swept away all in its path. At the pearly gates, he bitterly questioned St. Peter why God had not saved him. St. Peter shrugged. “Well if you refused all the rescue efforts God sent you, what do you expect?”

The Meat of the Matter

When my brother Gabriel and I went to South Africa, we kept hearing about was this fantastic ‘braai’ folks were inviting us to on the weekend. What on earth were they talking about? A barbeque oui! Listening to them talk, you would swear they invented it! Not only that, when we visited Israel, areas in North America and Europe, a certain gleam would light up people’s eyes when talking about whatever name they have for roasting or grilling meat. And they all feel they do it better than everyone else!

There is no disputing that in Dominica over the years that barbeques keep popping up exponentially Let’s be honest, the delicious carnivore aroma of barbeque pulls like a magnet, but not so much when you consider this. The fact is that barbequing and grilling generate heterocyclic amines (HCA’s) which causes cancer.

So, you see, it is the cholesterol, sodium and carcinogens in red meat, processed foods and fast foods that largely contribute to the CNCD’s listed above. In times past, mostly Rastas and a handful of other ‘weirdos’ espoused such kinds of things. Today, it is quite mainstream to declare a more plant-based diet as the solution. Deep down we know that the closer the food to the hand of God, the better it is for us. Still, the marketing geniuses have us believing that anything other than feeding on their ‘good life’ just isn’t as sexy and exciting. The irony is that Dominica’s agricultural potential makes us more blest than most in being able to take advantage of Nature’s bounty.

Nah! You don’t need a new body. What one really needs is a new commitment to take control of this same body according to the immutable principles in CHIP. It is a Godsend. How about trading in the good life for the best life? Happy are those who take a glimpse at this short video. It may never be business as usual for you again!

Doc thanks for pointing out that big bellies are a strain on the heart and lead to pressure and diabetes. I for one will try CHIP and eat more greens, fish and less barbecue meat. Also 8 glasses of Dominica fresh water to wash me out is good too. I look forward to hearing from the good Doc who treats the nation with good healthy advice, yet has a heart of compassion to stand for social justice in our land. Proud of the Doc.

This article is interesting. I have been going to the gym ever so often but time and time again i have to remind myself of what i eat or what i put into my body. Eating healthy food is key. Thanks for reminding us once more that we don’t need a new body but we need to take care of the one that we have.

It is very difficult to eat healthy on this island and it shouldn’t be. A 100 years ago or even 50 and before all of the processed garbage got shipped in, people here lived very well on organic fruits and vegetable and livestock without much disease. CHIP’S is a good start, however, it will be very hard for people to sustain. They will have to form support groups to try to change their lifestyle. To much in the way of pesticides and herbicides on DA which produce tainted food leading to illness.

    Another great piece Doctor!

I am have diabetes and high blood pressure for a number of years now. Just today I said the exact same thing: I just need a whole new body!

I hate taking all this medicines. And we know what we’re eating is killing us. What we need is step by step instruction in how to make the change. I feel confident that you have put your credibility behind CHIP. I will definitely be checking out Nurse Prevost to see what she has to offer.

Thank you DR for this article, the truth is there but will we adhere to it. We do need to go back to basic as our parents and grandparents did. We just have to listen to all our dear centenarians in our island, and they will give us the recipe for good and long living.
