Roseau, DOMINICA- The Confucius Classroom at the Dominica State College (DSC) recently hosted a free health fair in collaboration with the Faculty of Health Sciences. Four specialist doctors, including cardiologist Dr. WANG Xianbao, urologist Dr. XIANG Qi, ophthalmologist Dr. LIU Qiong, and anesthesiologist Dr.SONG Fuhu were present to provide medical services for the college community. Approximately 60 members of the DSC community took advantage of this opportunity over the two-hour stay.
The most heavily requested service from the specialists was eye exams from the ophthalmologist. Several people also consulted with the pain physician on their chronic pain, and others consulted the cardiologist regarding hypertension and heart disease. Blood pressure checks were also a commonly administered service. Overall, it was a successful health fair that attendees were appreciative of and spoke highly of their professionalism and medical expertise.
“We are so thankful to have had this opportunity to collaborate with such an impressive medical team,” said Dean Trudy Christian of the Confucius Classroom. “This health fair was an invaluable experience for our students and staff as they had direct access to some of the best medical minds in our country.”
The Confucius Classroom is looking forward to further collaborating with this medical team to bring another successful health fair back to DSC in the future. They especially appreciated Dean Casey’s help in providing student nurses to assist in pre-screening all attendees and for their warm reception of the China Medical Team.
DSC is dedicated to providing its community with access to quality healthcare through events like these free health fairs. With its success, we can look forward to even more collaborations between DSC’s Confucius Classroom and leading medical teams in our nation.

The Confucius Classroom at the DSC aims to broaden the knowledge of Mandarin by offering Mandarin classes and improving cultural awareness and appreciation of Chinese culture. The Confucius Classroom was officially commissioned on May 26, 2022, and has since held Mandarin classes for beginners, a summer camp, and hosted various cultural activities such as a celebration of International Chinese Language Day.

How about a IMHOTEP or Anta-Diop classroom also? We would probably get less “aid”, but long term, we’d be better for it.
We need to offer a democracy classroom in Beijing and teach creole and calypso bouyon Bellaire voodoo and Christianity how to pound beff and how to openly critique you leadership. We also need to teach how to have skin like dasheen leaf and not be so sensitive. President Xi is an emperor and Chinese folks need to stop making demi god of earthlings who’s s… stinks like everyone else. Also emperor Xi should stop wearing lipstick and grow a sense of humor.
This is no different than the European imposing Christianity on Africans or Amerindians. Pretty soon you will see adoption of Chinese customs and way of life. Why put in schools if the intent is to educate? There is internet. This is an indoctrination.

Who will convey that message? Zi presides over a mighty, strong and prosperous country. Stop all you hatred of the Chinese people. They are flesh and blood like you all.
I don’t hate Chinese people. I don’t hate anyone. I just love myself and believe in my ability as a black man to solve my own problems. I love myself enough to understand that I have been born with gifts to be innovate to flourish and be content . I as a black man love myself to believe others like me built in my own image and likeness are just as capable. The law of nature requires variety for survival. That means plant and animal species though genetically similar display different physical characteristics for adaptation and survival. What I hate is the idea that men think they are superior to others and come to pity me because my culture and means ot thriving is different from theirs. The Chinese are not here because they love me. They are here for geopolitics and their culture of over 2000 years of imiprialism. Their strength is in numbers and an iron fist oppression of dissenting views from the communist emperor. Darn inferiority complex needs to stop.

While we site buying all their goods as they take over small businesses black man in Dominica go around begging. This folks come Dominica and call Dominicans lazy and I am supposed to sit thier and grovel to some Chinese superior. There is a reason why black people will continue to be slaves and the dormat of the rest of civilization. We will sell our souls and fight each other for crumbs while those who come advance. Sad even our own leaders use that to take advantage. I want to know how is that going to help the trade surplus so young dominicans can afford to own a piece of dominica, build homes, take a vacation, raise a family and build a wealthy nation. We did not learn from the racist imperialism of Europe. History have a way of repeating itself.

Well if you read to understand you would see to whom I am directing what I wrote. Who do you think has the inferiority complex and have not learnt from the past. Who are the ones begging while thier ancestors and decendants never own property to build thier own wealth? You are doing exactly what I said. ” fight each other while others enslave us. I blame the ones who don’t see the need to frame thier own destiny. For one Man to move a rock it has to be broken up into little pieces. The ease at which it is done depends on the cohesion and strength of that rock. In other words we are the ones to blame. My question is what are you willing to say or do to elevate your dominica people above the mindset and state they are so they can see themselves as valuable? You can remain happy and contented that someone impose thier will on you an your family and like many others instead of cutting the head of snake causing we sit in awe of the stupidity.
