Cosby sexual assault case overturned by Pennsylvania’s highest court

Comedian Bill Cosby who was convicted in 2018 for drugging and sexual assaulting a woman in 2004 has had his conviction overturned in Pennsylvania supreme court due to “prosecutorial mistakes” according to an NBC report.

This development potentially opens the way for Cosby to be released from prison. Cosby a successful standup comedian and actor in his own right is probably best known for his role as Dr. “Cliff” Huxtable on the Cosby Show, one of America’s most successful and iconic sitcoms.

Amen!! There is a God. Happy that Dr. Cosby is home and free. Like it or not, the man is home. Nothing anyone of us commenters on this platform can do about it. we can type and criticize and run our finger over keyboards from now till thy kingdom comes, but Dr. Cosby is a free man. Thank God.

It does not mean he did not do it. The alleged victims know and God will be the judge.

Yet Skerrit has Choksi in jail for committing no crime against the laws of Dominica. All you took the man from Antigua and brought him to Dominica against his will and had all you top officers here to receive him and later all you jailing the man? The only person that committed a crime in Dominica is those that kidnapped him or played a part in his abduction. Those are the ones that should be jailed or charged

Mr. Cosby is still guilty of what he was accused. He just got out of jail on a technicality. He admitted his guilt in civil courts as well.

Mr. Cosby was tried twice on the same charges. It was quite clear to many objective observers that the prosecution team was overly zealous to get a famous, successful black man behind bars. They left no stone unturned. The prosecutors even overturned stones that they should not have touched. The guilty verdict was stunning to fair minded followers of the trial.

Justice has prevailed over injustice in the end. The state should recruit those same prosecutors to go after Donald Trump who has been accused by 40+ women of rape and other sexual misconduct.

Welcome home Mr. Cosby. Spend the rest of your years with your loving wife in blissful harmony.

I am not sure what his talent has to do with that case. I agree with the court’s decision not because I think Cosby is innocent of the charges. I believe once the deal was made in the civil matter, the prosecutor should not have reneged on it.

Having said all that, I think Cosby is a creep who should have spent a god chunk of time in prison for his misdeeds.

As usual he was a black activist so he had to be railroaded. White supremacy is like god, works in mysterious you won’t figure out.

The law is the law and its not about individual feelings. You are justified in rejoicing for Mr. Cosby as it is an indication the the judicial system still works. Feel no hurt about the modern day slaves who disagree with you. I live in the United States and I am amazed to come across people of my color who are still convinced that Caucasians are superior to them. That me be what you are experiencing here.
