Correction….it is the Roseau Market not the Old Roseau Market. The old Market is by the Museum area…. Please ppl you are advertising to the world put out correct info
DNO – you continue to propel your biases towards this corrupt DLP government, providing a platform as Skerrit’s mouthpiece.
No emphasis is being placed on, as a key
e-media house demonstrating your duty of care to the populous, throwing light or showcasing Dominica’s economic failings. Right before your very eyes (but you’re blinded by it) is the lack of business buoyancy amongst traders. Your LIVE reactions of a MEAGRE amount of holiday shoppers in Roseau market speaks volume. The lack of business dynamism witnessed with the place being dead on a day like Christmas Eye. This is unheard of anywhere in the world and represents a STRONG and KEY INDICATOR of a failed economy.
Help restore some hope for the populous by educating them, highlighting these economic failings and go as far as to propose solutions.
I take it that, as seems to be the trend with my comments, you’ll delete it or not feature this constructive criticism being levelled at you. Go ahead… defend…
Had it not occurred to you that the people are not so much into this christmas scene and are turning away from its commercial-ness? Just a thought.
Then provide a list of economic indicators to demonstrate that Dominica’s economy is thriving. Go ahead then and educate Dominica’s ill-informed. Provide us ill-informed Dominicans with the various indices, earnings reports and economic summaries, so we can form our own judgement.
Thanks to you, DNO
The song below, from Nat King Cole, is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Yes indeed! We used to “find it hard to sleep” on the Eve of Christmas Day.
The late-night jing-ping serenade, the midnight mass, and the late-night shopping excitement couldn’t keep us asleep; we were too anxious to see our Christmas gifts.
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe helps to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow, will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa’s on his way; He has loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother’s child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I’m offering this simple phrase, to kids from 1 to 92, although it’s been said many times, many ways, Merry Christmas to you.
