Dominica lodge support efforts by first responders to combat COVID-19

The District Grand Lodge of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, under the auspices of the United Grand Lodge of England,
comprises 21 member Lodges in ten (10) countries, spread over the Caribbean Sea from St. Thomas USVI in the North to Grenada
in the South.

On behalf of our District and in response to the devastating effect that the CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) pandemic has had on member countries generally, our member lodge here in Dominica, namely St George Lodge 3421 EC is pleased to reach out and make a charitable donation (a twenty-two cubic foot refrigerator) in recognition of the valiant First Responders and Front line Heroes who have selflessly rendered service in our community.

The District in responding to feedback from our heroes, is presenting to the China Friendship Hospital dormitory where the COVID 19 staff are housed.

This ceremony is one of several which is being simultaneously conducted throughout the District. Tomorrow Thursday 4th of June, another donation will be made to the Dominica Nurses Association as we endeavor to continue the practice of “Charity: The distinguished characteristic of a Freemason’s Heart”

“Freemasonry – Making Good Men Better.”

That’s from Skerrit, Savarin and the gang? The same gang from Barbados that was in Mahault doing their evil spell the week of election?

Illuminati/ Lodge/ Masonic Order. What i notice is all these young men being drafted/recruited. Ive always remembered this old man saying he doesnt need to join any lodge to stand on his two feet. Man that does join lodge is man with no backbone. Man that will sell you out to save their own tail. I know a few men who are members that fit the description. Ill struggle on my own, dont need no lodge either. My tongue will be left in my mouth when i die and it will be my family and friends who will carry my cuffin when i die. No secret society nonsense. The Grand lodge in england dem is devil worshippers.

Wow, ignorance is a hell of a thing. Here are people making a contribution to help the Country in the fight of the CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) pandemic and you writing such comment. When you write such foolishness it says a lot about you in regards to the development and use of your mind as to the order in which you see and examine things. When you read the above news story, didn’t you see the act of gratitude first, be content with your ignorance.

whats rubbish to you is gold to someone else. Your response is one of blindsightedness. Read the article again and ask yourself some questions. Dig deep this time.

Maybe it’s me but the name China friendship hospital just doesn’t ring well in my ears. What about the Dominicans who lived their lives giving service to the Commonwealth of Dominica? Ministers teachers prime ministers, doctors nurses and many other professionals gone from yesterday? Why in order to commemorate the so called “friendship” we now have to place the name of our new colonial master China on the hospital? We have to have some type of pride in ourselves. We need to stand for something even though we have our hands out it doesn’t mean we should reduce ourselves back to being slaves.
Rename the hospital now! If you agree give this post a thumbs up!!!

Charles John, my question to you is why was not that same question asked in the 60s when the British government built the new hospital in goodwill and name it Princess Margaret hospital is not it the same thing?

Actually no sir/madame they are not the same. When the British built the hospital back in the 60’s Dominica was part of the British empire an actual colony. Your China Friendship Hospital was built or remodeled in recent times. Dominica has been an independent country since 11/3/1978. So in the last 40+ years no Dominican was worthY enough to have the hospital named after him or her???? Is that what you’re saying friend? We can do better!!!

BECAUSE IN THE 60’s…..!!!! WE WERE A BRITISH COLONY. WE HAD NO INDEPENDENCE.
