Conde Nast Traveler’s 27th annual “Hot List” was announced today, recognizing the world’s best new hotel, restaurant, museum, and cruise ship openings in the world, and Dominica’s Coulibri Ridge was just one of four winners in the North Atlantic and Caribbean region. According to the Conde Nast Traveler editorial team, “This sleek eco-resort is proof positive that a sustainable stay doesn’t have to be a bare-bones experience; it can be luxurious and pampering, too.”
Since opening in October 2022, the 14-suite off-grid discreet luxury resort, a member of Beyond Green, has been lauded for its masterful combination of luxury, sustainability, and hospitality. Earlier this month, the resort landed on AFAR’s 2023 “Stay List” of the 15 best new hotels in the world.

Is this hotel “Cannabis Friendly”? Are there any hotels/resorts in Dominica that allow you to smoke and relax while on the properties without it being an issue?…… Cannabis Tourism will bring in more visitors to the country.
It’s common practice these days for high end hotels and resorts to fly in and accommodate travel journalists from international magazines and newspapwrs. Its why you only ever read about the same handful of places and why they win awards. And the tourism people encourage and support this because it gives the destination exposure. The problem is that there’s no support for the other 80percent of accommodation options on island, some of which were around a long time before millionaires and cbi turned up. These awards are meaningless in this context.
“where else in the world” this is common at many high end establishments worldwide and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that practice… in fact, theres many good reasons for it. the entitlement of some people…
Congratulations to Colibri Ridge, and in effect – Dominica.
Some constructive criticism for management though, your website could use some updating to match all these newfound recognition.
Bonne Chance!
Do you know of the utter disgrace, which manifests itself in My Dominica…… well, I’ll tell you!
Where else in the world but in My Dominica, a Hotel is offering a business service to the general public who’re not permitted to view (with their naked eyes) the facilities it offers, to learn about some of the most common and essential facilities that Coulibri Ridge Resort offers unless a committed booking is made.
IBO and Francisco are going to go to the toilet when they read that.Wait till you hear those 2 bums say Coulibri Ridge pay Conde Nast to publish that story.
You that kindergarten Skerrit yard foul, I only criticize, when there is a need for me to do so.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words: from what I see there is not much to criticize; except it might not be a choice place for me personally to register into, and my reason is that where it is built on a cliff, when I go to sleep in the night, I would worry if the cliff breaks away, all aboard in their beds dies not knowing they are dead!
The architecture looks modern and that is the most important right now; nevertheless, what about the service to the patrons, and the type of dishes expected to be served?
For a place as Dominica, I can accept it as looking good, but I have been into much more luxurious hotels in many places in the world, so there is nothing about that to excite me!
For you and most Dominicans not accustom to the best will be excited, I appreciate it as long as Roosevelt Skerrit that damn crook hand is not into it.
Did Roosevelt give money to build it?
” those 2 bums say Coulibri Ridge pay Conde Nast to publish that story.”
You see I did not trouble you that no name deer?
I need to asks you this: don’t you think that Dominica an unknown place to the rest of the world, however, all of a sudden it is rated the number one best place in the world to visit?
Everything is the best, in a small city town that stinks, and I mean smells bad; (that is your capital city Roseau).
Nothing has changed over the centuries in Dominica, how come all of a sudden there is no other place on earth as good as our country. Boy/girl you nasty rat!
Hahahahahahahahahahahah!
I would like Dominica to be come a known tourist destination, but this all of a sudden hype, simply means someone is getting paid to sensationalized Dominica, and even if that happens to pull a few people to the island, finding out the streets of Roseau are dirty, and poverty, and nasty corrupted politics, backwardness is the order of the day; how many people will…
They even sport the best government and subsequently the best Prime Minister in the world. You see they enjoy their own talk. It keeps the crowds happy and it justifies their own existence to a degree. Everybody in DA happy, happy, happy! The thing is, very few are ‘happier’ then the rest.
