Most politicians of today are dishonest; they lie, steal,cheat, etc, to get elected and do nothing until the next election.
There are only a few politicians in Dominica I think are honest and one is Prime Minister Skerrit, unless one can show me or give me proof that he is not; I like the guy. Let every politician show you their bank book before they are elected, and five years after they are in office.
Most of them stay in office for years, and groom their kids to take their place after they decide to leave office; those idiots make a career out of suckers like us. It’s time a law be implemented for term limit.
What is so sad is that there are people who have become enemies for these idiots. Some of us are only being used. When last did any of these jokers invited you or your kids to dinner with their families or to their kid’s birthday party?
A doctor once warned me that I was a servant for Christ; these clowns are servants elected by the people who voted them in office. I have one advice to the Prime Minister to be a great leader; Jesus Christ must be your Master, Lord and Saviour. Every great man needs one to make him great. An Associate in Science, in Electronic Engineering, is a totally different degree, in comparison to an Bachelor in Science.
You only need two years to obtained an Associate (AS) in Science, in electronics, and with that you can only function as an Electronic Test Technician, and trouble-Shooter, at least that’s the way it is in America, I do not know about Dominica, where your educational system, and technologies may be different, okay!
In order to obtained a Bachelor in Science in Electronic Engineering, at least four years of study’s are required, and that does not include your requisites you see; so I do not understand your babbling’s, although one first have to obtain an ( AS) in the same field before you can move on to a four year University, in peruse of the bachelors, so I do not understand your reasoning.
As everything else, we in Dominica, have all the answers, and must find a reason to criticize!
So, be informed Mr. Smart, when disusing an (AS), and an (BS) in Electronic Engineering, you are talking about two different levels of academics.

I have already made that observation but you gave a fuzzy excuse. We learn that stuff in elementary school and it’s reinforced in high school and college.

You need to stugy your subject/verb agreement. Boy you have some strange usage of the apostrophe. Party’s should be parties. This is not a typo; you do it all the time. It is a deficiency and a serious lack of understanding for a guy who boasts about having 4 academic degrees.

Firstly, the government has to serve the interests of the people. The question is, are the majority of the people morally bankrupt or not in this country? If so, is the government forced to be just as morally corrupt to fulfill their selfish interest so that they could remain in power?
Secondly, is Dominica really a christian country or a country filled with ‘christians?’ Is it a christian country or a christian state? If the people really loved Jesus Chrsit peace be upon him and the prophets, why not rule the country with God’s word? Why rule by post colonial slavery laws and secularism if you really speak the truth? If the motto is apres bondie c’est later, shouldn’t the people submit to the will of God before everything else including the country?
Thirdly, we claim that Dominica is independent, is that really true? What is our GDP? Are we still in a trade deficit or our revenue is higher than our expenditure? Additionally, we appreciate the assistance from ‘friendly’ countries like China however, what do these friends want in return? What will this cost to us? Can we really meet their demands if any?
Another point is, many people claim that the DLP rigged or manipulated the elections by paying for flights for overseas Dominicans. What concrete proof is there to support this claim? Can we support this claim by stating ‘where there’s smoke there’s fire?’
To conclude, when will we as a people develop a keen awareness so that we can tackle key issues in our country? When will we put aside petty politics, pride, arrogance, selfishness and envy as a people so that we can tackle real problems such as high unemployment, the increase in crime and unsolved murders, moral degradation and illicit drugs? I pray that Dominicans wake up, otherwise, God will replace this nation of people with another to enjoy this beautiful landscape.

Very few of the numbers of people who comments usually identify’s themselves as a DLP, UWP, or DFP supporter. You do not know if some of the people you are demeaning, are supporters of the Labor Party, whom you claim to support.
How do we know that you are not a sheep in wolves’ clothing pretending to be defending the labor party, when in fact your motive, and agenda, is programmed to destroy the party in a deliberate, and psychological way?
One of the reasons the UWP failed was due to what I term ” exclusion; ” when people embarked on a system of exclusion which causes alienation, (leaving people out), that usually gives them a reason to link with those who are willing to accept them; you may just be causing lots of damage to your party of choice; if indeed you are a supporter of the same, and not actually recognizing the damage you are causing.
Let me teach you how politics works:
Within a political campaign, one should go all out for their party to win, do what it takes; we know that in politics, during the campaign, the truth will be distorted a bit in most cases to gain political advantage.
Every politician is aware of this; it is a ploy commonly used, and the party bests at such a ploy usually wins!
When that happens, there are foot soldiers, and supporters who take it on personally, and for years they dwell on the loss, or the win, when in fact they should get behind the winner, and support the winner’s in their undertakings, with the hope that both government and people can accomplish something that will benefit the people, and nation on a whole.
It is disruptive when foot soldiers drag on, and on, ridiculing, insulting, the loosing party, and other citizens whom though they did not vote for the party in power, they actually would like to see the government succeed.
After all; Dominica does not belong to any member of the DLP, UWP, or the DFP. We as a people; all hold an equal share in our country, therefore we all need to participate in the development of our nation, regardless, of who is in control, leading the country.
Anyone who wishes to see the government of the day, or party of the day fails, because they dislike the party, or individuals serving in the present government of any day simply because they won an election, and another party loses, that person would indeed be a confounded fool!
You nee to review what you are doing and see if your contributions are serving a useful purpose, or are your contributions alienating, and causing a destructive divide among our people.

The author indeed mention Prime Minister Skerrit’s, if memory serves me correctly, the writer stated their likes for Mr. Skerrit, that could mean that Skerrit is his/her favorite politician, and suggest if anyone has evidence to substantiate their allegations regarding Mr. Skerrit; it appears the person is saying he/she may change their opinion about him, if the allegations are proved.
Yet, however, the great, and illustrious, Anti-hate, has chosen to make mention of UWP, thus blowing a simple comment out of proportion.
It would appear the author is talking about crooked and unscrupulous politicians in Dominica, and I assume that, simply because he mentioned Mr. Skerrit. If the writer made no mention of any political party in particular, how did Anti-hate manage to zero in on the UWP?
The person spoke of politicians in general in Dominica, that to me would loop every and all politicians in the country, no matter which party they are affiliated with, or to which they belong in the same category.
When we a bias, it shows.
Biasness is never a good thing, benign bias and one-sidedness, serves no other purpose than to set strive, confusion and division.
People need to be fair, speak your piece, but do it with dignity and respect of self.
When we rant and rave creating issues, politicizing issues which should not be over-politicize people usually loses respect for us, I am actually disgust with this person who believes that they are ” anti-hate.”
If you are ” anti-hate ” how come you are spreading so much political poisonous venom in all of your submissions?

I’ve read some of the posts and it s worth noting to remark that Dominica’s leadership is not at the behest of one man, however in life there are seasons. I remember the popularity of PJ. I also remember the stewardness of Dame Eugenia Charles and of course the other interim PM s at the strange circustances that has since followed, we now have an dully elected Goverment in office head by RS. There is no way each and everybody is going to give him a hand shake at his every move. But the greates thing that we as a nation can do to help stabilize the country , and to help move it forward is to trully pray for it’s leadership. It is very easy to throw a rock, that will only do more damage. Let us pray so that the Good Lord above might send his blessings on our country Skerrit is still a man with multiple flaws just like you.
