Palestinians decide to stop missing opportunities

After six decades of war and uneasy truce, uncertainty and unsettlement, uncomfortable and uneasy relations with their equally uneasy neighbour, intifadas and continual diplomatic to-ing and fro-ing, the dysfunctional consortium which rules over Palestine has gone for the big prize.

It has thrown its case for recognition as a state before the United Nations Security Council, which, in one of its first significant acts after being founded out of the ashes of World War II, created the state of Israel.

Obama has made a mockery of the NOBLE PEACE PRIZE award since his actions since replacing George Bush have been to continue with George Bush WAR POLICIES. The fact that he has gone back on his word to help the Palestinians get their state and reclaim their dignity after decades of occupation, massacres and humiliation is an indictment of his anti-peace and pro-war policies. The world should demand that the NOBLE PEACE PRIZE Award be taken back from Obama. He never deserved it.

My fellow Dominicans. Those of you who have been following events in the Middle East and being informed by a wide variety of media (not just CNN, Fox and BBC)will know that America subsidises Israel by Billions of Dollars annually, most of that in arms sales which Corporate America benefit from. In addition, construction of illegal settlements are bankrolled by Americans and Israelis based in America who benefit tremendously from the construction of these settlements. in turn they get richer while the palestinians remain poor and Landless/homeless. That’s the sort of morality that they West promote disguised as democracy, freedom and justice. Anyway, Mr Obama has his hands tied because he want to secure another term in office and since the Israeli lobby have the biggest influence on the outcome of Presidential elections in America with regard to funding, Mr Obama is prepared to veto the Palestinians bid for their own state to protect his personal interest. It is clear that America is not an honest broker with regard to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and should be cast aside and allow more honest nations to undertake this role. i also believe that the World should seriously consider reforming the UN to ensure that one nation cannot dictate to the rest of the world what should or shouldn’t be. :?: :?: :?:

UN will not avail the Palestinian situation. UN is a satanic institution. They believe they have the right to legislate hence their paganism.

The only thing that will rid the Palestinians of their problem is jihad and martyrdom. White atheist “Jews” who are the synagogue of Satan do not understand anything except the bullet!

Also, all those who support this illegal apartheid “IsraHell” state are just as evil as Hitler.

The Day Palestine get to be a state, Israel wll be doomed. Remember that Palestine is an islamic state and they are terrorists. Israel suffered long under ituations like this nd we in the west must realise that the People of Jehovah must prosper and claim the land the lad that was promised to our father’s Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Thechildren of Ishmael is not to have dominin over Israel.

Israel should understand why the palestinians want a place to call home/ After all they wanted a state. The apatheid system approved by the west being carried is shameful.Tje U.S. is giving Israel 3 billion dollars annually therefore President Obama should demand more from Israel to solve this vexing issue.

Interesting….you dont have to hate America, truth crushed to the ground will rise again.I’ve been following the episode since the 1967 six-day war up to now,I mean up till now. After the UN vote in Nov.1947,and the birth of the zionist state in 1948 led by David Ben-Gurion and supported by the US with both money and military might, life has never been the same.We do not hate them, but we hate their poiicies.I have the info at my finger tips for future discussion.

I must answer you as an Israeli.

I really dont know about my goverment, but I as a citizen have NO problam with Palastinien state, and there are many more like me. The palastiniens have sufferd occupation since 1967 and still are, while Israeli people suffer terror on daily basis.

BUT, and there is a big but, you must not be mistaken with Israel’s agenda on the “occupied lands” (land that never been belonged to someone couldnt be “occupied”) is based on protecting it’s citizens from terror. On the smallest spot on the map, the border between 1967 borders and the sea is only 9 miles long… how can we let other army stand there? it will crush us in a moment… The Palastiniens have launched a terror agenda since 1970’s, killing thousends of Israeli while blowing Coffe shops, Malls, Buses and shooting rockets on towns.

Now, it must be “easy” to stand from the side and say who is right and who is wrong, but the middle east is more complicated then what you may think.

Oh please spare us your bullsh**, we’ve been hearing it for too long.

You need to go back and learn your history and facts about the origins of this travesty. You zionist were the original terrorist. You came in there with your slimy ways and tactics of ethnic cleansing.

Those people were living in peace with their Jewish neighbors so why don’t you nasty despicable imposters go back to Europe and Russia.

And please stop taking it out on the Palestinian it wasn’t them that gassed you it was your European brethren!!

        Very racist comment, Nishtagia.
Me personally is 4th generation in Israel, so I dont really can go to Europe, Russia or whatever. I Know the history of my people way better then you, you are fed with propoganda and misleading news reports and think you are a genius. there never was any ethnic cleansing (or massacre against arabs) in Israel, the “people” you mentioned never lived in Israel and “Palestina” was made from 700,000 jewish and 800,000 muslims, occupied by Britain, Jordan and Egypt. I suggest you go find TRUE and REAL information and stop being brainwashed.

There never was a Palastinien country, there are no books, history, economy, building, goverments, leaders or anything that can proove ANY country here for the last few hundred years except Israel. Go find a more easy target, will ya?

    JR;

NEVER USED MIGHT TO BE RIGHT.

THE OCCUPATION OF PALESTINAIAN LANDS IS ILLEGAL…because it is not right to throw people out of their lands to place themselves.

Negotiations are going on for decades only favouring the settlers.

The settlers are occupying more than three quaters of the land and still looking for more.

They have total control of the peolpe’s movement in the people’s place.

I am opposed to the Palestinian effort at the United Nations because I think that it is going to get them nowhere. This is not the time for romantic gestures. This is the time for them to do something that will actually help them get a Palestinian state

What is the likely outcome at the U.N.? The likely outcome is that the push is going to go nowhere in the Security Council. It may get to the General Assembly, and there may be a symbolic vote. But the result of that symbolic vote may well be that they lose funds – financial support from Israel, the U.S. and potentially some European countries – and it will make the Israelis feel that the Palestinians have gone in a unilateral direction when the only viable strategy is a bilateral one.

At the end of the day, there is only one way you’re going to get a Palestinian state. And that’s if the Israelis agree to it. They have the land; they have the guns; they have the money. Palestinians may regard it as deeply unfair, and I understand that. But it is the world that we live in. The only way they’re going to get a Palestinian state is to engage directly with the Israelis.

If you have half of the Palestinian leadership that engages in terrorism and does not accept Israel’s right to exist, the Israelis are simply not going to create a Palestinian state under those conditions. We live in our peaceful country Dominica and critize the Israel’s who live on a daily basis with hundreds of rockets pointing at them, put the shoe on the other feet to see how it feels. Dont forget the president of Iran said over and over again that Israel should be wiped off the map, the same president who is supplying the rockets to Hamas.

You seem to be presenting a one-sided argument. You can only sit and negotiate for so long. When negotiations are one-sided I wonder how you would react? How would you feel if you have missiles, guns, blockades to the receipt o basic supplies.

All freedom fighters have struggled and if your justification is that by the Palestinians bringing up their State Hood it will not get past the security council, and only jeopardize aid from Israel, the US and the likes then you are person whom I perceive would relinquish their basic human dignity for money and the perception of what others think.

Both Israel and Palestine have been responsible for atrocities against the other. Their are factions of the Palestinians that are militant to the extreme, which I might add the ordinary Palestinian is against!!!!
Nothing good comes easy.. Fight for your Statehood I say. The aid they provide is barely enough as it is.

THE EUROPEAN CONVERTS AFTER WW11 DECIDED THAT KENYA WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE TO ESTABLISH ANOTHER APARTHEID SYSTEM ON AFRICA.

ALL GLORY TO THE ALMIGHTY THAT THE CONTINENT WAS IN TURMOIL FOR POLITICAL INDEPENDENCE FROM EUROPE AND THEY WOULD NOT BE WELCOMED THEN.

UNFORTUNATELY FOR THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE, JERUSELAM WAS THE SECOND CHOICE AND WENT AMONG A PEOPLE WHO WERE ALREADY PRACTISING DUAL RELIGION….ISLAM AND JEW…PEACEFULLY.

WHEN THEY DIVERTED TO PALESTINE WITH THE REPARATIONS MONEY DUE TO AFRICANS… BROUGHT TO THE WEST TO BUILD THEIR EMPIRE…..THEY VIRTUALLY DESTROYED THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE AS THEY DID THE INDIANS IN NORTH AMERICA, THE KALINAGO PEOPLE IN THE CARIBBEAN.

THE STORY OF AFRICA AND THEM/EUROPE IS ANOTHER WHOOOLE DIFFERENT DOCUMENTATION NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN.

WE TRUST IN THE POWER OF PRAYERFUL DIALOGUE AND WE ENCOURAGE THE NEGOTIATIONS THAT SEEM ENDLESS AND DEVILISH.

WE SAY TO ALL SUFFERING PEOPLES OF THE WORLD THAT ONCE WE KEEP THE PATH OF CHRIST,JOB, MOHAMED, GANHDI, NELSON MANDELLA, HIS MAJESTY HAILE SELLASSIE 1- CHRIST THE KING AND ALL OTHER RIGHTEOUS WARRIORS WHO TROD THIS EARTH THAT GOOD MUST OVERCOME EVIL.

I wonder, is Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a warmonger and two sandwiches short of a picnic?
Literally with his foot on the throat of the Palestinians telling them to recognise Israel’s right to exist while at the same time he’s increasing Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian land and rejecting any political settlement that accommodates the national rights of the Palestinians.
Having failed to blitz the Palestinians into oblivion Israeli settlements are being created at a staggering pace.

With official UN recognition, Palestine will be entitled to take legal action at the International Criminal Court to challenge Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbass says “ Enough. It is time for the Palestinian people to gain their freedom and independence.” I hope the Palestinians succeed.

You are wrong as Netanyahu is Both a warmonger and probably Three sandwiches short of a picnic. It is one of the common traits of zionism.

He was so scarey to his own people that they kept him out of power for a long time and only implanted him as leader (because he wasn’t actually elected as PM) when Obama took office as they felt that they needed someone mad and as unreasonable as him to try and stem the more conciliatory mood of the American public that just voted in a Black man who vowed to address the Palestinian situation.

@Pastorj – If I am full of hate then you are full of ignorance. All you so called jumped-up pastors, priests etc. need to go and read your Bibles properly and stop trying to blind people with your own ignorance.

Restart your education by first reading Ezekiel 47:21-23 then ask whoever it is you have been praying to set you free (as it is probably the devil) then go back and read your entire Bible without to log in your eyes.

Oh, and in the mean time stop trying to preach until you are worthy as you could only be causing others to lose their salvation because of your own stupidity.

Know the truth and it will set you free. Peace.

The US seeks UN resolutions to approve its military adventures around the world while blocking other UN resolutions that seek to legitimize peoples’ rights to self-determination. They murdered millions of Vietnamese and other South East Asians who only wanted to govern themselves.

They collaborated with the anti-Soviet Taliban, the anti-Iran saddam Hussein and the Zionist’s and apartheid south Africans’ nuclear programs. As soon as the South Africans gained black majority rule, the US supported the destruction of their nuclear program and the transfer of their nuclear material while Israel keeps her program in “secrecy”. Saddam and the Taliban have since turned against the US.

So the US is not a genuine negotiating partner and President Obama knows it. His own congress stabs him in the back. That’s why he can’t close Gitmo, let alone returning the 45 square mile Guantanamo naval base back to Cuba. President Carter paid dearly for returning the Panama Canal to the Panamanians. So Obama’s reluctance to support a Palestinian state is understandable but is not noble. Israel knows exactly what is required to have a two states solution. Stop blaming President Abbas who wants to end the suffering of his people.

The Palestinians finally took the correct steps because they have negotiated with America and Israel for over thirty years and all they received is more settlements and land confiscation. Any thinking person who reside in America as I do know that America is not fair to the Palestinians because the Jew’s controlled America political system. It seems that America likes to make war against the Moslems to alledgedly bring Democracy but here is a peaceful move by the Mr Abbas and America plans to used their veto in the Security Council to prevent Mr Abbas from seeking statehood. Last year(2010) Mr Obama said that Palestine will be a State by the time he returned to the United Nation in 2011 but look at what he is doing. Also look at what they are doing to Iran in regards to their nuclear program eventhough the IAEA is monitoring Iran program but they say nothing about Israel nuclear program. Former American prisident Jimmy Carter said Israel has three hundred nuclear weapons and when Israel nuclear technician Modici Vanoonu defected and he told the world about their program Ronald Reagan sent George H Bush to used America veto in the Security Council to prevent the IAEA from investigating Israel nuclear program, So tell us who is abusing the system. Free the Palestinians and long lived Palestine.

Bravo. It is time FREEDOM is given a chance and this can only be achieved with the Palestinians having their own state. It is time that we remove the wool cast over our eyes. I WILL ALWAYS SAY THAT INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS INJUSTICE EVERYWHERE!!

The Palestinians have been made to look like monsters because of the unjust media scrutiny by biased news organizations such as CNN and the like. We have to remember there are good and bad in every society. The Jewsih people are quick to talk about the holocaust but how do they explain the blockade of ports and the restriction of basic supplies for innocent children and adults. The United States of America was built on the principles of Liberty Justice and the Pursuit of Happiness, exactly what the Palestinians want. Mr Obama what will your legacy be?????
