Leadership at all levels and in most cases today, is no longer based on integrity, morality, honesty, transparency and the likes of Godly Biblical principles but is generally driven by greed, selfishness, manipulation, deceitfulness, self-centeredness and control, which, when summed up, to nothing else but witchcraft.
Over the past couple of months I have listened and watched and realized that a spirit of witchcraft is operating in our country and across the region. This spirit is operating at all levels in our country and either no one seems to be noticing it or it is being deliberately avoided.
What is witchcraft? It is deception and seduction.
-The art or practice of a witch
– Magical influence
– The use of any source or means to manipulate and control people, outcomes or results. e.g. bribery, benevolence, children crying to have their own way.
– It is aimed at producing deceptive results, providing deceptive information, which will seduce or forcefully cause individuals to behave in a particular way or yield an expected result. e.g. lying, cheating etc.
From the definition you will realize that it’s not just evil, but a lot of times, a lot of the things that seem good are forms of witchcraft meant to skillfully bewitch people without them realizing.
One of the most widely used forms today is that of Deception. It is very prevalent among Politicians, Church leaders, and a lot of our so called big name Tele Evangelist, Gospel singers etc.
Many of our politicians and political leaders have perfected the art of deception in a number of ways among which is manipulation of information, to hide the facts through the use of psychology. One of the most popular and very prevalent means is the giving of gifts and special privileges to individuals, which is really intended to cloud their judgment or their ability to think and act objectively and independently. Anyone who is always ready to give you the things you need without any commitment to assist you to find a way out of your state is bewitching you for their own good.
Continuously using the name of God in speeches and on other well timed occasions, while having no relationship with God, or in some instances establishing very close relationships with Church and Religious leaders or persons who seem to have a certain level of religious popularity are some of the cunning craftiness or bewitchment going on in our land and region. The intent is to deceive onlookers that they are of good intent because of their religious associates.
It is important to understand that these so called spiritual leaders, have themselves been bewitched and are blinded from the truth.
If you read the Bible you will know that God warns about accepting bribes (Exodus 23: 7-9)and being unequally yoked (2Cor.6:14-18) “for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?”), and sad to say, many of our spiritual leaders have established Unholy Alliances for the attainment of special privileges, which has resulted in their Christ-like witness being seriously compromised and their ability to speak for God has been silenced.
Additionally they have become supporters of evil and have become partakers of deceptive activities and as such have very little or in many instances no spiritual sight.

This definition of witchcraft is much too broad.
It would leave people thinking that everything deceptive, false, and dishonest, everything motivated by the desire for selfish gain, everything done to hurt others, is witchcraft. This would result in people not recognizing real witchcraft when they see it.
Granted all these bad things are common, not only in Dominica, but everywhere. However witchcraft is more specific. It is when people use Satan’s power and demonic influence to achieve or obtain things, or to motivate others to do things. It includes the use of chants, rituals, and ceremonies to draw and attract the devil’s power to make something happen.
There are many forms of witchcraft such as European, African, and Caribbean. Voodoo and Obeah are expressions of witchcraft. Many occult practices and black arts are related to witchcraft. These things are all evil. They are dangerous and should be avoided.

Whose definition of withcraft are you using? Didn’t the European give us words and their meanings and we accepted them without questioning? They made us to believe that African practices were evil and gave us a god, jesus and satan and we bought that hook, line and sinker. For that matter a witch is someone that is credited with some malignant supernatural powers, a woman practicing black witchcraft often with the aid of a devil, or a familiar sprit. In Micah 5:12 we read: And I will cut off witchcraft out of thine hand; an d thou shall have no more soothsayers.

Before the Europeans invaded Africa there existed African spirituality. Our ancestors did not believe in the Western religions that are recreated and formated. They believed in the natural and had spiritual systems. The idea of the mother and child, being Mary, was Aset and Jesus, was Heru. This is not a well thought-out article (attributing the moral issues that humans all over face everyday to witchcraft), but don’t attribute that to the stupidity and ignorance that’s in DA), you adding 1 and 1 and coming up with 3 there.
