Police last night slapped a second murder charge on controversial deejay Vybz Kartel, a development that his lawyer said has shocked the artiste.
A news release from the constabulary said that detectives from the Constant Spring Criminal Investigation Branch have charged Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, and Kiro Jones, also called ‘Ray Jones’, with murder in relation to the death of Clive Williams, also known as ‘Lizard’.
Williams, the police said, was murdered on August 16, 2011 in Havendale.

You know something, i’m not a fan. But all those that are being so critical and judgemental here, save it for God to do, for only God can judge ok. Why don’t you guys try to save your own souls. And if your kids are listeneing to these kinds of music and you don’t know, it just goes to show what type of parents you are. Parents you should talk to your kids, don’t yell at them, cursethem, criticise them etc… Talk to tyhem, help them to understand why vybz kartel music is not a good example to them. But also don’t be hypocrits either, the content in vybz kartel songs are really bad, byt the content in some triple k songs are bad too. So if you are trying to show the kids some example it should be across the board… ban Vybz music, and also ban the rap on BET, the rude triple k etc… Let’s not be hypocrit about this people.

You never know what some of those musicians and some others are up to and the type of life they live. Their songs should tell a lot about them, you know, what comes out of a person’s mouth and mind as imbedded in the heart. This should tell us much.
On the other hand he appeared to be a successful musician and should have known better to jeopardize his life and freedom in such a manner. He must have thought that he would never be caught or that due to his popularity he is above the Law.
The youths are old enough to know the difference between right from wrong and whom they should adopt as a role model and emulate. This man was never a role model. Those youths who elevate him are indeed blind and deaf indeed. Wake up youths! Open your eyes and ears! Be smart!
