Once again i have to come on here and defend my photo of the day pic . I was tempted to ignore all that but its just crazy to me how you sir insisting on knowing that my photo is not real, and you know every law of photography physics .
I know nothing about photography i know little about photoshopping i don’t have photoshop on any of my computers, i know enough to know to get the tree in the center of the pic. I took 3 other photos of the sky that day to come up with that shot if you want me to email you the pics so can right click on it and see that it was not tampered with or enhanced in any way . All i am in an artist with an eye for beauty . You my friend are an expert that seem to know what he is talking about , answering everybody that said something about your comment . The black spot is indeed a ceiling / roof because i was standing at ROSS partly under an outside covering .I doh know why the tree was dark , maybe its because the camera is pointing directly where the sun is even if its behind clouds there still a lot of light coming through.
This reply may not reach you or a lot of others, but it will be put on record that this picture was not photoshopped and is indeed in its raw form.
I will not insult you or anything like everybody else.. Your concern could have been legit but the way u dismissed my pic is not the right words to use for someone that has made a contribution .. you just don’t have a lot of faith in people and you don’t stop and look at the world spinning to notice things like that.

Great picture you were fortunate to see and take. This view is a heavenly beauty and one in a lifetime.
There is beauty everywhere and in all things, even on a cloudy and rainy day as this cloud depicts. This is a sign which could be seen all over Dominica, except for the tree which is obviously grown in that area of Portsmouth.
Let us enjoy its beauty, this beautiful and pure cloud. It is worth keeping and treasuring.
God’s signs and wonders from above. He sends us and shows us signs of His handiwork, covering Dominica with His pure white blanket of love.
I visualize that it is a sign, indicating to us, it is one to live by and that our souls must be as pure and white as snow prior to entering His Everlasting Kingdom of Glorious Bliss.

Always criticizing, again. Respect others and their opinions as you expect of them to do likewise to you. Write your own! If you are capable of doing so you will do likewise.
If you are a Christian and a good, genuine practicing one at that and possess the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as patience and love, you would never make such a statement. It depicts who and what you are and what is imbedded in your heart, mind and thoughts.
You need to be godly spiritually enlightened to do so. You know, possessing the Holy Spirit of God, His graces and receive His blessings.

As a child, I heard that when the sky has this type of cloud, it depicts fish. I do not know if fishermen of especially today are familiar with this.

and see the black. Clouds do not form like this, don,t you all see that this does not look

Does this Picture looks like it was taken from out side a Veranda? Were you there? is this part of a ceiling, the black spot. Do you think i fit the description of the person you describe in your comment probably it is the same reason you know me , just as you were there when the Photo was taken to, out side the veranda.
The top right corner is obviously part of a roof or something that the photographer included in the photo or should have cut off all together. That doesn’t make the photo no less authentic. I have seen cloud formations like this all over Dominica.
Now you Gary come and criticize but have you made any attempt to send a photo of the day to DNO? Of course not, you rather sit on your backside and try to put others down who are trying. If it wasn’t for people like Kelvin James who took this photo, the photo of the day feature would be non-existence. So get off your lazy as*, grab a camera and let us see what you can do.

What makes you think the top right corner is part of a roof. This Photo was supposed to be taken
with a great amount of light, why is the little piece roof black, of course there was enough light to show what color the roof is, the white clouds should have reflected some of it’s light on to the roof.
and exposed the roof, you know there are so many anomalies in this Photo. How can you get a silhouette of the tree and still have white clouds in the background especially with the pitch white
light in the center that should expose the tree. I will put it simple for you, how can you have an object or subject surround by light especially white light and still be dark, this goes against all rules of Photography.
My comment is not geared at criticism, I’m just pointing out that this picture was Photoshopped, now there is nothing wrong in enhancing a Photo, but it has to be done within limits, example, exposure correction and coping but to completely create a Photo which goes against the norms of Photography that is something different and that is what has been done with this Photo. Your Challenge to me to get my Camera and see what i can do, Well I’m going to submit a Photo, the way it works Photos are chosen by the order they come, so look out for my Photo. In regards to you using the F word describing me as a critic do you think that this is necessary.

It appears that you are not able to see the beauty in all things, God’s work of art.
It appears to me that some Dominicans or those who reside elsewhere in the world are too negative. It does not appear to me that you are happy and peaceful people. You love to disagree, dispute and criticize. What type of human beings are you?
Criticizing will get you nowhere. You are so discouraging.
Clouds are seen in various colors and on certain and different days. Just look for them.
By the way, A few years ago I recall seeing similar clouds (not nearly the same) in Canada and on a bright day when I attended a funeral and we were singing at the gravesite. As I was singing my eyes went up to the sky and I noticed the clouds. I cannot explain clouds unless I saw a specific vision in them that I could identify.
I have heard that those types of clouds as the one in this picture depict “fishes”; probably a good and successful day for the fishermen.
Some of you need to worship God, genuinely practice the faith and He will enlighten and grace you to appreciating the beauty of the earth, sceneries and clouds in the sky, all of which he has given and shows to us, specifically the ones which are posted on DNO.

You know it is very funny when someone distorts a Photo and some people takes it for the work of God. Your statement to me quote, “It appears that you are not able to see the beauty in all things, God’s work of art”. This i will tell you, I’m able to distinguish what is the work of God and what is the work of man I’m not in any way saying this in a boastful or vein manner, that is not the appearance i want to portray at all, When you make a silly comment that i do not appear to be happy, how foolish can you be to say something like this without knowing me or being around me, you have already accuse me of being a devil, and more, as to what type of human being I’m. i know for sure that i do not live in a boxed life made up of religious beliefs using it to judge people and the world. Look I’m not denying you on what clouds you saw some time ago, that is not the issue, the clouds you saw then and the clouds which is posted in the feature Photo of the Day on DNO that is what I’m referring to. Do you think i like to criticize as much as you like to use your religious beliefs to discredit and judge people.
I made a comment that the Photos were Photoshopped, have you not yet told me why you think they were not Photoshopped instead you start attacking me using your religious rhetoric, saying what type of person I’m, you know I’m still waiting to hear why you think that the Photos were not Photoshopped. What is it with you calling on people to worship the God you Worship. Can’t you not one time comment on a matter without mentioning God. giving a sermon or judging people based on your religious beliefs, is that all you use your mind for, no matter you cannot see the difference between a Photo that was doctored and what is the work of God, sometimes i wonder if people like you would see God now you would say he is the devil.
Gary, DNO posts pictures which are worthy of posting, viewing and admiring by readers could admire their beauty and of Dominica. It is not posted for you to critic. It is not a not a competition.

You write about others condemning you for making such a negative statement. There is a saying: “Do so never like so.”
In fact, they are not condemning you but are admonishing you for your unloving comment. Who needs your negative comments? If you have nothing positive and constructive to say, say nothing. You were not asked for your negative opinion. Much more could be stated about that.
Gary, it is God’s world. He created us. He is the Maker and the Judge. He ordains all to be. It appears that it bothers you that I speak about God? I was baptized a Christian and I am a practicing Christian. Those who practice the faith and do good works in Jesus Name cannot help but speak about God especially when their faith is denounced and criticized.
Furthermore, Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “No one can speak about God without it being granted from above, by Him.”
Therefore, if people speak about God they are not doing so on their own but as granted to them and mandated by God Himself.
One day you will face God for your eternal judgment. What do you have to present to Him that He might say to you: “Well done my good and faithful servant. Possess ye the Kingdom that is prepared for you from the beginning of time…”.
You better think God, perform His work, speak about Him and advise others about Him. This includes ceasing your critics. Otherwise you are doomed.
We will not go to Heaven on our terms but on Jesus’ terms, as He has ordained. This includes love, patience, generosity in works and words and kindness.
Read Holy Scriptures. May God assist you accordingly.
Gary, maybe u should crawl out from under the rock where u live and look up in the sky sometimes. These clouds are commonly seen in the caribbean; u must feel very ignorant for not knowing this is a real pic. Do some homework and look up cloud patterns!

Look, my contention with this Photo is not about cloud Patterns, I’m not denying clouding Patterns exist . I’m talking about Photography and how this Picture was doctored. If you understood Photography you cannot get a silhouette of the tree with the white clouds in a background. Ask your self why is the tree underexposed or dark and there is an abundant of light surrounding the tree. I will not waste my time on you comment regarding crawling out under the rock.
gary, you fool, can’t you see that is a real photo? This is seen in DA on a regula basis. Sometimes it is mote beautiful than that when the sun is setting. Not too long there was one on DNO taken in Jimmit that looked blue. Look up in the sky and learn to appreciate beauty for what it is. Stop the critisizing, and look for something positive.
