Was the picture enhanced somehow? Why is there snow everywhere but on the flag?

i am sorry. that photo makes no sense. What is the fundamental logic in having a flag ‘strewn’ across a hedge on a snowy day. btw it really is not the place or way to be displaying a flag.

a beautiful pic but i don’t think it shows respect to our flag,,,, um mr auguiste could u display an american or canadian flag in that manner regardless of how good-hearted ur intention is,,,,, on the same note,,,, it’s time they stop making takeaway plates with the dominican flag on it,,,,, the user will simply throw it away on the street,,,, no rags with dominican flags on it,,,,, we don’t want nobody wiping their body fluids with our flag o.k,,,,, lets have some respect for our flag

what is so disrespectful about putting a picture of the flag on a rag when we use the ones made to hang as rags durinng carnival anyway? but i like that u said dont put it on the disposable plates….who came up with that idea anyway? Dominicans need to learn how to market Dominica instead od making a fuss over nothing..this is a beautiful pic and would have sat right infront of it if i was close to it….while u all r arguing over such a beauty can somebody pease send me some fig and dasheen, sorrell or sorrel juice, need a taste of Dominica for the next time i read things like that on DNO..!!!

By looking at this photo one can see how gray and gloomy the weather looks; and the flag in the focal point reminds us how bleesed we are to have the most beautiful flag in the world. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to design our flag.

Beautiful picture; the warmth of Dominicans are felt in another country on a very cold and snowy day! Well done patriotic Dominican.

The reason why Dominica is no where is because we are too ignorant.YOU ALL need to be more open minded and grow up. I guess that person should fly his/her American Flag instead.

    February 11, 2011

Our national colors should be photographed flying high, not strewn across a hedge in a back yard. I understand the intent to show the contrasting snowfall, but that does not correct the issue that this is not a suitable location to photograph our NATIONAL PRIDE. Please show some respect for our DOMINICAN flag.

STOP BEING STUPID…U SHOULD AT LEAST BE HAPPY THAT AMERICANS ARE GETTING TO KNOW ABOUT DOMININCA. IT IS NOT THAT SIMPLY TO FLY ANOTHER COUNTRY’S FLAG IN THE U.S. HAVE U EVER LEFT DOMINICA AND HAVE A STRANGER ASK U WHERE ARE U FROM?? NOBODY IS NOT ON HE MAP ACCORDING COMPARED TO OTHER COUNTRIES….NOBODY KNOWS OF DOMINICA..I HAVE TOLD PPL ON NUMEROUS ACCASSIONS THAT I AM FROM DOMINICA AND THEY ASK ME “WHERE I S DOMINICA?”. U SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT HE IS SHOWING OF HIS FLAG…I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!! LIL REPRESENTATION IS BETTER THAN NONE

NOW ALL THE U.S DOLLARS THAT U LIKE DO U FLY THE U.S FLAG ON UR POLE??

    • The truth
      February 11, 2011

You probably don’t even have a Dominican flag in your own home yet you fast to talk about location. Some people really make some stupid moronic comments. Did you actually think before you postd that?

      • D/A in Texas
        February 12, 2011

as a matter of fact I do have a Dominican flag in my home….how can you, a dominican in Dominica, expect us Dominican overseas to do what u r not willing to do in Dominica? U all use the flag as rags like a previous post says but thn expect us to flag a Dominica flag high on U.S land…i ma sorry but this is just not plausible or even legal. we represent Dominica the best we can by trying to explain to ppl where Dominica is even located on the map but that is like pulling teeth…no one knows of Dominica….so while u r still in Dominica do what little u can to let ur country be known while we fly our flag on the hedges. I HAVE TAKEN MY DOMINICA FLAG WITH ME TO IRAQ, WHERE HAVE U TAKEN URS, TO CARNIVAL OR WCMF OR MAYBE USE IT AS A SCARF???

so u using good English “our flag should not be strewn…. ” lol such a well composed comment grammatically but a foolish comment since clearly you see no disrespect was intended. we should learn to make comments when appropriate.

You have a problem with a Dominican overseas promoting their county? It’s people like you who avoid countries from ever getting to where they deserve to be. Dominicans are really backwards, no wonder you all argue over politics and so many things that should be below your lists rather than top.
