Good idea involving the schools and making the children aware.
A better solution would be to tackle the things which draw these mosquitoes.
There is hardly a day when I walk through Roseau and not to cover my nose because of the smells coming from the uncovered drains and stale water.
I actually heard a couple from a visiting cruise ship commenting on this.
Cleaning up is a very good idea but keeping the environment clean all the time is better yet..
It is so amazing. I remember having the students of PSS clean up the school environs……….look roro……….I am now seeing the same intiative on a national level……..no roro………I will leave to see more……but in all it is always good to clean up…….way to go…..
Great initiative..these students never cease to amaze me. Just can’t leave down their bags. Alexandra, Rohan, Tatiyana, Leona, Jessie and Mr. Nakel what’s the purpose of the bags on your backs during a clean up campaign?
There bags may have valuable items like phone and money in them and they donot want it to be lost
Very good initiate, but please this has to be done on a regular basis and we need to adopt a different mind set when it comes to our environment. I am amazed that people accept such rubbish and debris in their immediate environment. Derelict vehicles all over the place, the authorities needs to be more proactive, just tow them away please and the culprit when found should be fined thats the only way the country can be kept clean and tidy.
I think it is important to understand that everyone around the world has already been doing things like this
lol
Dominica is very unique in the amount of trash you can find in the most treasured of areas. Kind of ironic considering it is called the “nature island.”
Anyhow good initiative, hopefully the message spreads to the youth!
yes your glass is half empty
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!! Hope this goes viral around the world. Everyone is at risk not only Dominica. Good to see proactive measures taking place.
