The photographer, a French citizen, was walking along a beach in Grand Bourg Marie Galante, saw Dominica across the sea and was so impressed that he decided to take this shot.

wow.. what a beauty… I can sit on my porch at home in Marigot and see beautiful Marie Galante.. just lying there especially at night it’s a beauty and I always wonder what Dominica looked like from the shores of Marie Galante.. thanks for the picture.. Dominca is really blessed….. The view we are looking at is the North/North East….
This is beautiful.
This is soooooooooooooooooooo beautiful. look like a lady quietly lying there, just relaxing. Cominig from the south, I grew up seeing Martinique everyday, and at night, one can even see the vehicles in Martnigue driving past. However, it is great to see our lovely Dominica. I give God thanks and praise for my country. I uplift it, not bring it down
Oh Jah”, I hope the sprit of beautiful Dominica can influence the mind benders in this country to work together to save such beauty.LOVELY DOMINICA .
Thank you. A totally different perspective! For people like me who have never left your shores.. How beautiful looking at you from a distance.
Never left our shores??? just like me!…i’ll leave Grand bay people alone travel…Nice view though!
What r you saying? You are like me in that we have never been overseas or what?
Nice
Always used to look at Martinique from home and was always amazed by it, but never, never realized that My Homeland was so so beautiful. Would love to see a photo like this taken in the night time. Thanks Photographer.
Uhmmm – what would you expect to see…. expect pitch darkness with one or two lights in between. The island is sparsely populated for it size. The daytime view is the best – my lovely island stands proud and tall – beautiful Dominica.
Peaks and valleys tell of our beauty. Very picturesque
AMAZING PHOTO

I have never been to Marie Galante. If there is a reliable boat which could safely transport passengers across I would love to visit it. It is too bad we cannot swim to it.

Beautiful and serene. Lovely Dominica indeed.
Whenever I look at this I remember our national anthem
Tall is her body indeed. Man, I love this place. God bless you DA. God bless those of us who are privileged to say that we came from this land.
