PHOTO OF THE DAY: Dominican flag birthday cake

This cake was made as a surprise for my aunt in the states on her birthday.

Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy’.

    Pretty cake. Guess the covering is not for eating. Vanda hope that you had a good birthday. it is good to highlight Dominica even when you are far away.

      It is Edible. It is made from fondant. Fondant is one of several kinds of icing-like substance used to decorate or sculpt pastries. It comes in many forms but the one displayed on the cake is in a sheet that is used to cover the cake. It makes for a very good finish.
