PHOTO OF THE DAY: First glimpse of Dominica

The photographer was returning to home after many years overseas. As the aircraft approached Dominica, he took a shot of the northern tip of the island.

Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.

Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.

Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.

Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy

    this is a phenomenal pic…compliments 2 the photographer…I usually travel and when I am over Dominica I’m always amazed at her beauty…and also say this would be a good viewpoint to take a pic and advertise…and seein this today…she’s just marvellous GOD BLESS DOMINICA

      Big up Grand Bay. Much respect to the cultural capital of DA producers of musical icons like Midnight groovers and Michele Henderson. Also the famous Felix Henderson of DBS experience kweyol fame. Much respect to Bath Estate home of the Three times national football league of DA. Peace, Love and happiness. One love DA.

    Wow…this was also the last part of DA I saw when leaving last week after a seven day visit. It takes your breath away when you arrive and also on leaving….Blessed Land indeed.
