PHOTO OF THE DAY: The future of Dominica

Hey this is Donna. I lived in Dominica and met a lovely Dominican man who was born and bred in Sam’s Gutter, Marigot whom I married. I am English and this is  our daughter Olive, the one on the left, and the beauty on the right is her cousin, Mitchie. I thought I should share these two little beauties with Dominica. And they really are cousins!

They are the future.

    @Stupes: ha ha ha stupes man you need to relax, you know how many people love this pictures,i shared this because it is wonderful how diverse life can be, the reason i said they where cousins, is the fact that some people have doubted it, and i wanted to show that this is our future and how all predudice needs to be forgotten, if i could have one wish it would be not for wealth like most people, it would be for all forms of preduice to be forgotten, weather it racial, cultural, sexually, because it would make my daughters and our cousins future less dangerous.

    but i am happy i have shared this, not matter the negative comments, i love dominica, i love my country and i love my family [british and dominica], and i love the fact that my child has been born to 2 cultures, which she enjoys, her fried plantin with a nice cuppa tea!!!!!! ha ha ha

    September 25, 2010

    Olive looks like her daddy-Kerry! Welcome to the melting pot of Dominica. We live, love and appreciate all colors, peoples, races, creeds, religions. When races unite, mix whatever, the outcome is pure BEAUTY! I believe if God did not want us to mix he would make it impossible for human beings to meet. So Caucasians, Blacks, Asians, and all the other races would have their own planet Earth, ever noticed the beauty in it, a blue planet with black , white, red, yellow, brown people. WOW! AWESOME! AWESOME CREATION!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL!!! Dominicans are real funny. We grow up calling all sorts of people aunty, uncle, granny and cousin even though they are not in any way related to us, so what’s all the hype about the statement that Donna has made. I’m sure she’s probably shown other’s the pic and been asked: ‘are they really cousins?’ so she decided to make it clear that they are. No big deal; don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.

    Anyways Donna, when will you be coming back to open your business? Hope that it’s soon I really miss my beauty therapist.

    @Why????:

    I agree. And the nose on chocolata is even better…what Donna mean by that. Little chocolata is even cuter than little creme latte.

    I

    @order:

    I dont find any of the comments are negative. If that little statement she made about them really being cousins flew over your head..that’s you…peole have their opinion and not everything people say u dont agree with is negative. What she really mean by they are really cousins. We have so many mixed, white, black, caribs in Dominica that have all types of family..what so strangely unbelievable for a little mullato, clearly mixed cutie to be cousins with a black cutie? Tell Donna move her rassss dere…

  22. Why????
    September 24, 2010

    What does that mean they really are cousins? Because the little girl is black and your baby is mix, it’s not that far fetched. Underline it’s some kind of racist thinking, you white people. By the way, the kid on the right, skin is so much more beautiful!
