This photo was taken at Champagne Beach near Pointe Michel. The area is known as Champagne Beach because of small gas bubbles that continuously rise from the volcanic sea floor.

Dominica is blessed with a number of unique attractions.
Champaine Beach is one of those. It is interesting to gaze upon. For these who want to know the reason why for everything they see it has scientific and educational value. Is it safe to swim in? If so I expect one might want to take a bathing suite. I can imagine an artist sitting on the beach with canvas and oils. A photographer would take a camera and films.
There are even more fascinating locations. Fields, and forests, lakes, and rivers, mountains and valleys,
wild life and birds provide an endless source of subject matter.
Champagne Beach and other such locations that have an air of mystery about them should be given more exposure. They need to be promoted for the tourist industry.
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
Gorgeous as always Dominica!
