This house look good. If you see what some of Dominican live in Antigua. They does be ashamed to let other people see where they living. When they go there they does have to take what get to live in. So please do not critisize.

Embarassing? you are! This looks so real! I was born in the 50’s in one of the remotest parts of dominica. There were no trucks or motorable roads, so houses had to be rolled on blocks of wood, or pulled with ropes. I am sure these people felt very good at what they were doing. You can see this in their expressions. I’ll say again, some people comment because the internet is available, but I wonder what else can they do with the computer.
Just in the 90’s I saw a house being pulled in a village on the west, which is a developed area.
Keep the photos coming. We need our memories revisited.

when an earth quake occurs mostly block houses get damages ..one mans trash is another mans treasure…stop giving stupid comments and make sence out of what you have to say…some people cant afford to build a block house …some can only build a wooden house …they are honest they dont steal from others to become better in life…after saying such bad things have you ever ask yourself ….where and how did my parents get money to build our house ? the answer might be nasty to know …

I was born in the 1970s in the country area so i have seen my share of houses moved similarly.Back in the days they used to cut coconut trees and use them as wheels to rool the houses and the entire village would be there pulling pushing the house until it reach its destination…..That was Dominica..when neighbors cared!!!
