This picture is beautiful. It is one which I love to admire, the mountains as is. Even on a cloudy/misty day the beauty is evident.

To Admin: I was the second person to post a POSITIVE comment on this photo and I fail to see it appear. Any particular reason? It was about Earl Ettienne making a painting of it and also thanking Mr. Winston.

Admin: sometimes comments do fall through the cracks. Even the best filters are not perfect. If you don’t see the comment, please re-post.

@Sunny…..nothing about taking it to heart or “mahjie”. Too often we allow “idle” words to float around without dealing with them accordingly. Even the Bible speaks about the power of the tongue….c’mon now Sunny you ought to know that!

Do you not have anything better to say? The Police should have you under investigation. You are fortunate that you reside in Dominica, I hope. If not, you could be under surveillance for making such comments.

Some people must be happy that we dont have the picture of another homeless person. According to them, we must keep our dirty little secret under wraps.

The fact is there was slavery and slaves and nothing can be done about it. There are some things which we cannot change and are obligated to accept; to live and let live and carry-on with our life.
Furthermore, Dominicans are of mixed heritage. Let us say, the majority are black and white. I am not counting the Caribs as they were called in those days.
We must not overlook the other part of our heritage which brought about the slave trade and slaves. Both played a part in the history of Dominica.
We must also not be bitter about what occurred in those days which we had nothing to do with. We were not yet born. We could reminisce about it and discuss it but this is as far as it should go. Do not waste your God-given precious time otherwise.
Since we are alive, in whatever manner we came into the world, as Dominican-born, we have reasons to be thankful to God for our life. God does not appreciate ungrateful people.

The picture refers to Dominica and Dominica alone.
It has absolutely nothing to do with America, Africa, Australia and Greece.
