While on vacation in France the photographer was touched to see Dominica’s flag among a display of flag on the Eiffel Tower and decided to take this photo. For her the display literally put put Dominica “on the map.”
Photographers – novice, amateur or professional – in Dominica are asked to submit photos, photographer credit and caption to [email protected] for consideration for the Photo of the Day feature, daily on dominicanewsonline.com or news.dm.
Submissions can be accompanied by a brief profile and contact information of the photographer. Submissions will be published in the order they were received.
Photos must be taken of Dominicans and things Dominican. Note that submissions advertising any form of business or business activity will not be published.
Dominica News Online also encourages the submission of a variety of photos, ranging from nature shots, people shots, weird shots, interesting human interest shots, and anything ‘newsy

I am not seeing anything in that picture. I am all for patriotism, and I represent Dominica every chance i get. but honestly this pic is cr*p and undeserving to be there as photo of the day. Number one, a photo on a reflective surface and all u see is a flash, that hurting my eyes.
So wait…. if i see a world map somewhere and i notice Dominica is on that map, or i see a list of flags for the countries of the world and Dominica is on it (obviously) that is something to shout about?? Those Dominicans who do that seem to b the ones who do not recognize their own country, when they see a little flag printed on a list among others they frighten and get all excited and take out picture of glass and reflecting flash. There’s a reason why the photographer use a nickname.
I agree with you. That aint nothing..THERE IS A BIG DOMINICAN FLAG IN WASHINGTON DC NEAR THE DECELERATION AND SOME OTHER IMPORTANT AMERICAN ARTIFACTS.. There is some history behind it.. That a little more patriotic than this.

My heart just wells up with pride whenever I see our flag displayed in various countries. Nice promotion for DA. Me self carry mine everywhere I go on key-chain, nail clipper, mouse pad in my office, my pendant, handbag, caps, t-shirt, everything. God Bless DA and her people.

the strange thing is how do we know that this is the Eiffel Tower i dont see anything there that looks like the Eiffel Tower.
I really doubt the person would lie to that extent. And if the flags are inside the tower, there isn’t really anything to see.
