Enjoyed my days at the jelboushiwii…memorable days indeed! With one eye open just in case the river didn’t overflow and the other looking for crayfish under the stones and swimming. Would climb to the top of the market and jump in the river lol

These birds are Caribbean Brown Pelicans. Their population has increased quite a bit over the past decade or so. Anyone ever seen a nest of these birds here on Dominica? You do find juveniles among the birds flying overhead or on the beaches, or on fishermen’s boats, on boulders in the rivers, and in the jel-bouchouwi.

“jel-bouchouwi”?   . Long I have not heard that one! You from C/Bruce man?
That language originated from that area when referring to the area where the sea meet the Georgie and Kakar-River after they combine together near by.

      Assertive, NOT Agressive!
