And all others who are in favor of Pappy:

How about also a street or building in his name. He is a Dominica icon. I am certain he did not set out to be one but due to his talent he has become one. It appears that the majority of people love Pappy. The majority counts.

If the Good Lord wills I hope I see and hear him in 2014.

I love Pappy… he is DA’s national treasure. And that is what he is, so we have to always embrace him and treasure his words and wisdom.

I came over to DA in the summer of 2009 – my first time in DA… what a beautiful, beautiful country… I am not originally from DA, but my husband is. Let me tell you, Pappy gave me a whole load of wisdom on when I met him. We could ALL learn a lot from Pappy. Instead of ridiculing him and scorning him, we should appreciate him, regardless of your political affiliations.

I know that when I come back to DA for good (yes, I so love your country!!!! lol) I will be writing Pappy’s story, as his is a story that needs to be written.

    :-D

You know? It’s very funny the way Dominicans praise illegal activity, like it’s ok for everyone their, if that man was to fell & hurt himself, his leg or hands broken or suffer serious concussion, everyone of you are going to say OMG why did he get up on that car… any other Caribbean countries, the drive will be ticketed & the man on the yellow cab will be paying for a stupid stunt like that. Maybe that is legal in your country.

i saw pappy when i was in DA for fest 08 i had a great great laugh out loud . pappy was getting political with it . i love it!! all this contributes to me feeling happy and stress free in Dominica, you really take it for granted until you leave . keep on doing you pappy .

Only in Dominica you say? Laughter is the best medicine.
Let Pappy do his thing and entertain Dominicans. Life can be tough, strenuous, stressful and every possible relevant word we could use. People need to smile/laugh. He has an excellent talent and it is to make Dominicans laugh. Why not! Hopefully his jokes are clean ones.
When I resided in Dominica I recall what we would hear from some people. As they are related to fellow Dominicans and as they relate to me, we get a good laugh out of repeating them. Even residing abroad no one can take them away from us. They make for a good conversational peace with a lot of laughter.
Leave Pappy alone. Give him a break. Let him do his thing. The world needs some people like him.
I recall what Paul Keans Douglas a comedian who many of you are familiar with said while narrating his jokes, “People are too serious.” Indeed! We need to smile and laugh more for the good of our health, mentally and physically.
