This is so beautiful,I have never seen any
thing like this before
water waste what away to waste water millions of gallon into the sea.how canwe utilize such fresh water, can sell to our neighbours to make make money where is arthie martin when we need him o i know we can afford to wast, cause we got alot in abondance, we are bless, thank you father!!!! im Dominica are you?.
Are you serious? There is so much water being lost to evaporation, transpiration, seepage, run off. These are all natural processes rasta.
I agree on the other hand that we can find other ways to more efficiently utilize our abundance of water. But to call it a waste, when this water fall is all part of the hydrological cycle.. I disagree.
@ Homeboy
It is not really a waste. The water just keeps flowing and with the hot sun it evaporates and keeps re-entering into DA which is indeed a cycle.
Some of this water is bottled, shipped and sold overseas where it is needed. Am I correct?
The flow of consistent water is a mystery in itself. Thanks be to God. God is so good!
?????? no idea what do you mean … may be to close this fresh water to plastic bottles and make another waste … brrrrrrrrr
@ rastaman 137
This is why Dominicans should not be paying for cold water. There is enough of it in DA.
LOVELY PIC..
@ Antiguan
If you are residing in Antigua, those nationals would be happy to have this type of fresh and clean water. Dominica is indeed blest.
In previous years I spent some time in Antigua and the water tasted bad. It is only good for bathing, washing the hands and brushing the teeth but not for drinking. It is not my intention to demean you, Antigua or Antiguans in general. I know some very nice Antiguans and had a wonderful time when I visited there. I love Antigua. Sometime I hope to visit there again. I would never cry down the country. What DA possesses it lacks. Likewise Antigua. This entails every country of the world. We make the most of what we have.
Today, what is the water like in Antigua?
For a minute I thought we had elephants in DA.
@ G.I. Joe
Who are you and where are you located? Are you in Texas and the likes? You sound like the Americans in those days who thought that all Canadians were Eskimos and lived in Igloos.
Yes! Some Americans have made such statements and even on responding to U.S. Websites. Now that many more people possess computers, they are better learned and exposed to the different types of countries in the world, our living habits; no exception DA. In this day and age you should be more broadminded.
That’s Pottersville
you special…..i’m not talking about movado special….
welcome back Big..lol
There goes “Big!” Making me laugh again. Pottersville? It only has the sea and further on leading to Roseau, the river. I know you mean no harm. Keep us laughing. We do need a good laugh.
nice but some dry sand should have been included in the pic…looks cold…looks like a rainy day…the focus is a little too narrow..if that’s a good way of putting it
Tiny, how could you expect to have dry sand in such a photo? When the waves are washing right up against the rock wall? So the beach will always appear to be glistening wet, even on the driest of days. Comeon, give the photographer (I have no idea who thatis, BTW) some credit for a good job!!
i love you response..you seem like a “sweet” person…reasonable
Amazing!!!
nice
I bought a painting from this Rasta guy with that exact scene…it’s beautiful.
THIS LOOK LIKE SOMEONE PISSING FROM ABOVE.
yes, there is a kind of people that can see it this way
excellent imagination. We need more thinkers
like you on the island. I could see it the way you see it.
don’t kno y u got all those thumbs down cuz dats wat it looks like for real, a giant takin a massive piss
real idea …for undefined kind of people
Yes it does.
Come on ‘thumbs downers’ where is your sense of humour.
THAT PICTURE LOVELY THINK I GO LOOK FOR IT WHEN I AM BACK HOME ,MISSING MY RIVER AND BEACH
LOL
wahhhhhaaatttttttt….oooh i need to go around DOMINICA alot more..so i can get aquainted with these sites…just beautiful…lovely DOMINICA..undiscovered natural beauty…
Aba Wavine Cyrique… The definition of Pure Untouched Nature… Where fresh water meets salty water.. C’est Magnifique!!!!
Dominica, the love of my life, It’s a shame that I have to leave you and all the wonders you posses, I cannot bear to stay and see you ill treated by your children, it shatters my heart so….you will always be closest to my heart..
Believe me, Dominica is not missing you. Whereever you are in the world, you will always meet life trials. Do not forget when you leave your country, there are many more people from the foriegn lands that are populating the island. Its seems that is only when the citezens of dominica become very old, that is the time they want to come back home. This time in their life they cannot take full advatage of the island natural healing.
beautiful,beautiful pic………
That’s ANBA WAVIN SIWIK Falls at River Cyrique. Depending on the amount of build-up of sand on the beach, the waterfall sometimes falls directly on to the beach. Interesting mini-adventure to get down to the beach to view that waterfall. I have been there, so I know. lol
Mango sweet, that’s right. I’ve been there when the water falls onto the black sandy beach… Definitely a challenge to get there, so I’ve seen it from the top looking down… DA and it’s wonders!!!
I love this falls, there are periods when water falls drectly on the large stone there, you can swimm in the ocean and after you can take a natural shower.
The way down, I think, is not a easy one, however I am older man and I can get there. A few yards of rope and ladders … take care!
Coming from this height, the smallest of rock being carrid along in this could cause serious injury.
And the ROOTS and rope ladder
I love Nature.
