WEEKEND FUN UPDATE: Where in Dominica is this?

GE DIGITAL CAMERAMany thanks to all our readers who participated in our last installment of Weekend Fun.

We asked people to identify the river above and where it is located.

Well, many of you got it right!

This is the Londonderry River, of course located in Londonderry. Some people call it Cabana River since it flows into the Cabana Bay and Beach, however this is not the official name.

The area in the photograph is close to the mouth of the river and is an ideal spot for swimming or just taking a river bath.

It very much resembles one of the estuaries of the belfast river in mahaut,in the days of old. Not what most people are familiar with because the belfast river give rise to two estuaries and only one exists today…this looks like the one that used to be.
