Dominica showcased an impressive performance in their inaugural match of the 2025 WINLOTT-WICB Under-19 Cricket Championships, overwhelming St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). According to an Asberth News article, DA won by an incredible margin of 172 runs at the Tanteen Playing Field.

Choosing to bat first, Dominica amassed a formidable total of 297 runs for 7 in their allotted 50 overs, said the ANN article. Earsinho Fontaine spearheaded the innings with a remarkable unbeaten score of 125 from 135 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and 5 sixes. He received solid support from Jahson Vidal, who contributed 56 runs, while Lluvio Charles added 36 and captain Stephan Pascal chipped in with 23.

For SVG, the bowling effort was led by their captain, Kodi Grant, who claimed 3 wickets for 41 runs. Devontae McDowall supported him well with figures of 2 for 80, while Zach Thomas took 1 for 11 and Lebron Douglas finished with 1 for 63.

In their chase, SVG struggled and were bowled out for just 125 in 43.2 overs. The article identified the standout performer for them as teenage player Zach Thomas, who scored 37 runs, while both Kodi Grant and Ramon Johnson contributed 18 runs each. Dominica’s bowling attack was led by Jelani Joseph, who took 3 wickets for 24 runs, with Joel Durand claiming 2 for 27 and four others taking 1 wicket each.
