A glimpse at St. Martin’s Primary’s ‘A taste of Dominica’

The St Martin Primary School held an exciting exhibition today dubbed “A taste of Dominica.”

Students at different grade levels were asked to bring fruits, provisions, and other dishes made from plantains, sweet potato, breadfruit, and banana.

Following the exhibition, students were given the opportunity to taste the various foods.

Below are some of the foods that were on display

At a very young age the very young should learn to cherish and consume what is produced from our soil. That said, I fully support this initiative.

However, I would have preferred the children were encouraged to bring the raw fruits to school and taught to make their ow love drinks (passion fruit, fruit punch, guava, smoothes from a combination of local fruits) etc.

Big Up to the staff ad students of the St Martin Primary School for this initiative. Build on it.
