Ambassador Benoit Bardouille appointed as Dominica’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization

Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA), Ambassador Benoit Bardouille, has been recently appointed as Dominica’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization.

“As Minister for Tourism, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ambassador Benoit Bardouille as Dominica’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization,” Tourism Minister Denise Charles-Pemberton said during a statement.

According to her, this appointment ensures that Dominica continues to have a strong and experienced voice at the global level, championing the country’s interest in maritime safety, ocean governance, and the sustainable development of its blue economy.

“Ambassador Bardouille brings over two decades of leadership in port management and maritime administration,” she stated. “His experience will be invaluable as Dominica depends on its engagement with the IMO and strengthens its position in international maritime affairs.”

She extends heartfelt congratulations to Ambassador Bardouille and has every confidence that he will represent Dominica with distinction, dedication, and national pride.
