Judging by the curb appeal of this bank, one can only imagine what went on inside the facility. If they didn’t care about the facility itself, what other surprises await.
This revelation has prompted me to ask: What does the fiscal health of Dominica look like? Is the country on solid rock or sinking sand?
Another question: How much is extracted monthly from the public purse for personal employment specifically for the 30+ ministers and advisors of the dysfunctional, unproductive members of the current mal-administration?
From all reports, because of f financial recklessness, coupled with gargantuan incompetence and massive corruption, Dominicans should shudder for the pending financial disaster if the status quo remains intact.
*personal employment NOT personal employment
Why are you so concerned about the financial health of Dominica? You have already said that our future looks bleak, dismal and disheartening. What more proof do you want? Why don’t you tell us what garbage work you do everyday. You criticize so much and you cannot offer any help. You are just as bleak as the economy. Let us hear how many fake degrees you have that are worth nothing. I wonder how is your financial situation. You probably cannot even balance your personal bank statement if you really have one.
The financial situation in most of these Caribbean states is dire. This has been precipitated by the continued unbridled corruption by government officials.
These countries consume too much and produce too little. What do they export in immense quantities? For most of them, nothing. They have developed huge trade deficits with countries outside the region.
With negligible exports, high unemployment, low productivity, astronomical indebtedness, the financial sectors of these mendicant countries are rapidly shrinking.
Imagine, the worst is yet to come as the present crop of inept misleaders at the helm has no economic strategic plans currently in place to reverse the perennial downward trajectory of these economies.
The quicker we resort to a plan of self sufficiency in food production, the more likely we will be able to stave off this incoming catastrophic economic disaster.
