The Family Court of Antigua and Barbuda is set to be bolstered with the appointment of Dominican magistrate Pearl Williams, who assumes her new post on Monday.
Williams, who made history in Dominica as the nation’s first Kalinago attorney in 2010 and its first indigenous magistrate in 2016, brings a wealth of legal experience to the bench.
Judicial officials say her appointment will significantly enhance the court’s ability to address complex family law matters, from custody disputes to cases of domestic violence, ensuring timely and effective resolutions for families across the nation.
