US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 during a medical checkup, this development, has occurred shortly after an article on CNBC where Biden in an interview with BET (Black Entertainment Television) had described a situation where he might drop out of the race.
The US president had this to say in the interview:
“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, ‘You got this problem, that problem,'”
The diagnosis comes amid mounting public calls from high ranking members of his own party including celebrities and other members of the public for him to step down from his presidential bid.
According to Ryan Grimm of Breaking Points and DropSiteNews Biden had previously indicated that he would only listen to the advice of God in considering whether or not to drop out of the race.
