News reaching Dominica News Online (DNO) indicates that a Canefield man who resides in Massacre is currently nursing injuries at the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) following a shooting incident which occurred in Mahaut on Tuesday.
According to information from police sources, the man was struck on the head, robbed of his cash ,and shot in his right leg.
Police are currently investigating the incident.

In the days gone by when fellas like Tig, Cambel, Barboulie, Laudat (Magistrate), Ken, Weekes, Alvin, Tee-Gloops(?), Lapo-Kakar, Zarbock, Poo-Pou-You and the likes were in the force Mahaut was under manners. Not that the guys were brutalized but these officers would get information and solve issues before they happen. In those days man like Goombay, Cozy, Lagandy, Baykay and Abel were the biggest nuisances. Only Lagandy evolved to be a master criminal among them and yes he paid the ultimate price. Mamo was in power and Mano was the no nonsense magistrate.
So LP, round up the local Mahaut officers and talk to them about the good old days so they can help clean up the village again. Don’t depened on those passerbys in the station because they are only there for the salary…their parl rep sent them.
I don’t know the details of the incident but I know for sure that people will come here and blame the government for it
The clueless, ruling regime bears some responsibility. During their present tenure vagrancy, murders, poverty have climbed to unprecedented levels. Who are in charged? Who has the resources to put measures in place to curb criminal activity? Why are the members of the cabal so handsomely paid?
Yes! They should be held to account for the lawlessness in the country. If they can’t then exit government and let others more competent do the job.

RSS must make a sweep in Mahaut ASAP because everyone including Poo-Poo-U and AHss-San-Tee know the so called bad boys, their movements and places of abode.
The streets and soil in Dominica are blood stained. The government is expending tens or probably hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide shelter, food and transport for foreign soldiers to squash the escalating crime but it continues unabated.
If the ministers of the Roosevelt cabal were to be paid on merit all, without exception, would have taken home $0:00 at the end of each month. They are as useless as coal dust.
Is the RSS still on island? If not, just remember what i said. Bringing in the RSS to deal with Dominica’s gun problem may not be the best thing. What happens when the RSS has gone? The problem resurfaces?
Anyway i do hope that this rogue is apprehended, and the victim survives his injuries.
