DNO has learnt of the death of accountant Kerion Pinard-Byrne.
The family confirmed his passing but DNO has no further details on his death at this time other than he died at home.
Pinard-Byrne was a managing partner of KPB Chartered accountants before retiring in 2016.
Pinard-Byrne was widely known for being in a lengthy legal battle with Lennox Linton regarding public allegations made by Linton against Byrne over the handling of the Layou River Hotel project.
Pinard-Byrne ultimately won his civil case against Linton.

I never knew Kerion Pinard-Byrne. But if, as one respondent says, he was an interesting and funny person who always saw the humor in things, then I suspect he would have had a wry smile at DNO’s brief original headline that stated, “Pinard-Byrne is dead” as against the corrected version, “Accountant Keiron Pinard-Byrne has passed.
Rest in eternal peace Mr Byrne. My condolences to the family.

According to the law, Lennox Linton is to continue paying his wife and daughter to satisfy his debt. RIP Pinard. We will make sure he continues to honour his agreement before he returns to Marigot in the next five years …………………………… This time it will be 20 to 1.

Condolences to the family of a man who contributed in large measure to our country, Dominica. I certainly believe it is high time that the family bury the hatchet with Mr. Linton. None of this is beneficial to our souls, nor does it benefit our country.

It is cold here too, this morning it was 38 degrees in a certain place in the Inland Empire, at my new residence; this weekend I return to Los Angeles where it is much warmer.
