Calypso 2026 season events now open to artists for registration

With the 2026 carnival season fast approaching, the Dominica Calypso Association announced that it has opened registration for calypsonians interested in competing in the upcoming events.

Via statement, the DCA said that eligible artists can sign up at Aturo Sports, which is situated within the Prevost Cinemall in Roseau, Dominica. The registration fee for participation is set at $50.

The schedule for the event series is as follows:
– Eliminations will take place on December 13, 2025
– The Quarter Finals are scheduled for January 17, 2026
– Semi-Finals will be held on January 31, 2026
– The Grand Finals are slated for February 14, 2026

The Association also said that it remains dedicated to the ongoing enhancement and growth of Calypso music through the 2026 National Calypso Competition.

    Looking forward to hear what the present calypso monarch has in store for us. Also waiting for the ten time King to come roaring back for his crown.

    I want people like biased Putin, pointless Point, loquacious Gary and hard head Lin Clown put some respect to King Dice name. Show some respect for the man’s history making achievement.
