The CARICOM Secretariat has launched an online knowledge hub to provide essential information and content related to the upcoming 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), scheduled to take place from July 6 to July 8 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
This information is according to a CARICOM Secretariat press release.
This official digital platform was developed as a comprehensive gateway to the meeting, serving a wide range of stakeholders including regional and international media, foreign policy and international relations experts, Caribbean youth leaders and advocates, Caribbean affairs specialists, policymakers, researchers, students, and members of the broader community.
The release shared that the knowledge hub features detailed information about the meeting, including its thematic focus areas and the full programme of events. The platform also hosts sections dedicated to media releases and advisories, high-level speeches, image galleries, videos, and a news segment that will be regularly updated. Additionally, the Meeting Communiqué will be uploaded to the platform once it is officially released.
A key highlight of the hub is the series of video messages from the Incoming Chair, Prime Minister of Jamaica, Dr. the Most Honourable Andrew Holness. In one of these messages directed to the youth of the region, Prime Minister Holness reportedly emphasizes the importance of their voices in tackling critical challenges faced by the Community, such as crime and security, climate resilience, and food security, among other issues vital to the region’s development and prosperity.
During the meeting, visitors to the knowledge hub will also have access to live streams of the opening ceremony, closing media conference, and other key public events. It will serve as a central resource before, during, and after the meeting.
The hub can be accessed via: caricom.org/
CARICOM is presently being led by a logomaniac with a skulk of sly foxes. Can somebody point out to me something transformative that this present crop of rulers has done to significantly enhance the standard of living for the majority poor in the region? NADA!
The only lives that they have improved enormously are theirs. Their legacy shall be from commoners to filthy rich monarchs by questionable and shady means
