On Sunday the February 1, the spotlight will be set on the Carnival City located at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, for what some say is the most dazzling spectacle of the season, the Carnival Princess Show.

The contestants are Shanell Benjamin of the Woodfordhill Primary School,  sponsored by Morancie and Sons. Arianna Challenger of the  Paix Bouche Primary School, sponsored by Stephen Paboy Thomas Foundation, and Belle Lavi Villa and Fanayé Shillingford representing the Bagatelle Primary School, sponsored by Springfield Trading.

“Right now, our girls are bonding, growing every day and fully [in] bloom. On the afternoon of February 1, expect glitter, music, dance, and performances that will leave you breathless,” Member of the Rotaract Club of Roseau, Bianca LeBlanc, said while addressing the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) weekly Carnival Press Conference on Thursday.

“Carnival City will be alive with the light of laughter,” Leblanc emphasized. “This show will be the highlight of the season, so make sure you’re part of it. Come support the three, come support culture.”

She thanked all the sponsors who have come on board this year and other potential sponsors.

Ticket costs are as follows: standing tickets, $25 for adults, $15 for children under 15. Seated tickets are $40.

She added that there will also be an online broadcast with Kairi FM, costing US$15.

“Perfect if you want to sit back, relax, and really enjoy the show,” Leblanc stated.

The show is set to begin at 3:00 PM.
