Catholic Church announces National day of Reconciliation 24 hour Vigil

This weekend, Catholics in the Diocese of Roseau, Dominica, are being invited to participate in a National Day of Reconciliation through a 24-hour vigil held in every Catholic church. According to a press release from the Diocese of Roseau, the vigil is scheduled from 6 AM on Friday, March 28, to 6 AM on Saturday, March 29, under the theme “You are Our Hope.”

The event aims to inspire individuals to take part in acts of repentance, reconciliation, prayer, and fasting. This observance coincides with a Jubilee year being celebrated by the Diocese and the global Church, which carries the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”

During the vigil, all parish churches across the Diocese of Roseau will focus on themes of repentance and reconciliation through various activities, including prayer, praise and worship, Eucharistic adoration, confession, and outreach to the sick and those in need.

Now that protestant Christians have taken over popularity, didn’t Catholicism go the way of Jesuits and free masonry, replaced today with hyped media and dangling of nuclear weapons? People are finding out, that’s not going so well is it?

OUR constitutional rights, quote sections, chapters and page. You like a mouton Batalie talking the same bull.Bosso is your Mahaut countryman hope you at the court to support him.The constitution at chapter 41 42(1) gives parliament the authority to make laws and a handful of criminals must OBEY the laws. The constitution does not have penalties, the laws.Go read the constitution and you will see it is all about laws. The majority of Dominicans are not a holes and brainwashed puppets.

I am catholic and can say that is pure hypocrisy on the part of the church at this time. Skerrat and his goons are out harassing and jailing people for expressing a constitutional right and instead of calling for mass protest they call for this? The church continues to fail us so I say to the people DON’T GO. Madness in my land. They have their priorities all screwed up!

  5. Pure Religion
    March 26, 2025

My Bishop, priests, brothers and sisters James 1:27 says this:

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

It’s not lightning of candles and 24 hour prayer vigil when our loved ones and fellow countrymen are being afflicted, stoned, slapped, thrown down, arrested, imprisoned for absolutely nothing and you guys are silent and saying nothing!
Is this what Jesus would do?

In a time of national crisis and persecution caused by Skerrit, Blackmore , the police and the government what foolishness I am hearing from my church nou? What hell candle lighting vigil I hearing there nou? Is this what Jesus or any of the apostles do? We need to stop that religious game especially when we can stop what is by rebuking and call those devils and state enemies out
