On Saturday, November 15, young members of the Diocese of Roseau will gather to celebrate Hope as part of the Catholic Church Jubilee 2025.
According to a news release from the organizing committee, the day will kick off with a procession starting at 9:00 AM, beginning at the Windsor Park Stadium forecourt and proceeding to St. Gerard Hall.
“This will be followed by a Holy Hour during which time the young people will strengthen their connection with God. Following the Holy Hour, there will be an engagement with Bishop Kendrick Forbes where the young people will seek clarification on faith matters,” said the release.
It went on to add that a key feature of the day will be a Praise Festival beginning at noon, showcasing local artists such as Marie Pascal Affana and Lili Octave, among others. During the festival, the launch of World Youth Day 2027 will also take place. This event is scheduled from August 3 to 8 in Seoul, South Korea, under the theme “Take Courage! I have overcome the World.”
The aim of the event is to draw youth from all parishes within the Diocese, as well as Catholic schools, offering a meaningful experience to strengthen their faith. Additionally, Youth Fest 2025 will be hosted at St. Gerard Hall in Roseau from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
