
Officials from the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®) have arrived in the Cayman Islands ahead of the highly anticipated Results Release Ceremony for the May-June 2025 examinations. According to a media release by the Council, the event is scheduled for this Friday, August 15, 2025, and will be held at the John Gray High School Gymnasium in the capital city, George Town.
Leading the CXC® delegation are Registrar and CEO Dr. Wayne Wesley and Director of Operations Dr. Nicole Manning. They will present the official performance data for over 100,000 regional candidates who registered for more than 600,000 subject entries across the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination® (CAPE®), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate® (CSEC®), and Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence® (CCSLC®).
Joining the CXC® team for the event will be Honourable Rolston Anglin, Minister for Education & Training, as well as Finance and Economic Development. Minister Anglin will deliver the keynote address during the ceremony, which is hosted annually by a participating country under its Ministry of Education’s sponsorship.

“Education is at a turning point globally and we acknowledge CXC’s important work to expand and improve learning, assessment and certification in the regional education system, and to keep pace with the speed of the technological innovations of the Fifth Industrial Revolution such as AI and Machine Learning. Our dedicated team at the Ministry has been putting all the arrangements in place to ensure a smooth and successful Release Ceremony”, continued the Minister.
Yesterday morning, the CXC® representatives paid a courtesy visit to officials from the Cayman Islands Ministry of Education before engaging with other key stakeholders. These include school principals, teachers, parents, students, and the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Wesley emphasized, “Inclusive decision-making is a cornerstone of CXC’s operations”, noted Dr Wesley.
Dr. Manning, who oversees CXC®’s Examination Services division, highlighted the significance of these qualifications for students’ future academic and professional pursuits. “As we continue to keep pace with the innovation happening across the education landscape, we are ensuring that we consult with our stakeholders at every step of the way- our stakeholders hold us accountable in the exercise of our duty of care to this region, that we are so proud to serve”, remarked the CXC® Registrar.
The preliminary results for the May-June 2025 exams are scheduled to be published at 1:00 pm (AST) on Friday, August 15, accessible via the CXC® student portal: https://studentportal.cxc.org.
