The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is once again gearing up to host police week, “in a big way”.
Acting Police Chief Lincoln Corbette made the announcement during a recently held press conference.
According to him, the activities are scheduled to take place from September 21-28, 2025.
“This year, again, we will be celebrating police week in the month of September. The proposed date is September 21-28,” he said. “We intend to celebrate police week again in a big way this year, again to showcase the police and to reward officers for their hard work that they have done over the years.”
Corbette invites the public to celebrate with the police and to participate in the number of activities planned.
“We are encouraging you to partner with us and be a friend of the police,” he encouraged.
Corbette added that the public will be provided with further details as the date draws nearer.
Police week will be celebrated under the theme: “Serving with Pride, Protecting with Purpose.”
The vast majority of Dominicans have lost confidence in the police force and the legal system to protect them and mete out justice fairly to all regardless of one’s economic status or political persuasion.
We will appreciate the police ‘in a big way’ if they execute their duties impartially and professionally, without fear or favour, and desist from acting solely at the behest of the scumbag that presently and fraudulently occupies the apex of government.
Without the support of the majority of people the police will remain weak, unable to carry out their duties effectively ad efficiently.
Get it right (Police)! Rise above the partisan politics and serve and protect all members of the society equally. That’s the ‘big way’ to serve.
I hope all Dominicans register their profound disgust, disdain and undiluted disappointment with the substandard, shoddy and biased performance of Roosevelt’s Concoction of Bodyguards (stone throwers, bandits, ruffians, dimwits) masquerading as a police force by totally boycotting their WEAK of activities.
They deserve our unmitigated scorn. They are hooligans- trigger happy, quick to inflict bodily injury, functionally illiterate, eager to execute raise arrest.
The personnel of the present police force should be replaced with persons of intelligence, integrity, diligence, political neutrality and common sense.
The police are here to serve and protect and preserve life and property and keep order. in Dominica it’s the police who create most of the disorder.
What they should have is a public Vs police trump,domino and draught competition.They should also have a ole police get together with the new police,when ole police finish talking about their experience,new police would think is a movie they talking about.It is strange,there are highly trained ex police officers in Dominica,veterans of the dread act,1979 overthrow of Labour government,47 day strike,operation Red Dog,attempted takeover over of police headquarters, Caribbean Peace-Keeping Force Grenada 1983,7th special forces training 82nd Airborne 1984.Jamaica military jungle training,tradewinds training.The present police doe even know those people,they know NOTHING about them.Dey doe even know who is Andropov,Shadow,Big stick,Butcher,JackA Jones,You lowLolo,Al Green,Karate B,Rodknee,Segal,Pato,Nobbs,Aimless,Dif,CR,Dan to name a few.
Thank you Mr.Corbette I have been looking to that for a long time.Let me remind you the public has always been a friend to the police.I remember when a number of members of the public use to go to police headquarters to drink,play dominoes a draughts.Some use to sleep in the barrack room,I also remember,Mr.Daniel Green use to donate a whole cow,and buffet style dinner,dress jacket and tie,officers in their black uniform.A number of the public use to attend,with dance at the Fort Young Hotel.That use to be so untill UWP daycallay the police force,they put police against police,they daycallay Esprit de copse,they daycallay the brotherhood and they daycallay the friendship.Without the public the police force is dead,I remember going on a operation in the bush where we found 12 pails of cured marijuana 1 new double barrel 12 guage shotgun,1 Rambo knife and 1 powerful pair of binoculars.Before the guys could say jack we were on them like we were ghosts.Thanks to the public,respect them.

This CDPF is a total mess. Go around ZONE ROUGE to host ”’Police WEAK”’. Those guys seem to be their own police, HUMILIATING you all COWARDS, and you all can’t do a dam.
If i had my way i would dismiss 99.99% of you all, for dereliction of duty.
