Central Co-operative Credit Union appoints Addison James as brand ambassador

CARIFTA Gold Medalist Addison James is the Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd’s latest brand ambassador, having been appointed to the role as of Monday, April 14, 2025.

The announcement was made by Mrs. Lorraine Henderson-Reid, Marketing Manager of Central Co-operative Credit Union Ltd, during the Official Launch Ceremony for Team Dominica ahead of the CARIFTA Games 2025.

“We can’t help but be impressed with Central’s commitment to community. Central has been supporting sports, youth, education, the arts, culture and the health of our members in our communities. We continue to place emphasis on the human aspect which aids in the growth of the Society.

We are proud, and we are pleased to offer our full support and sponsorship to National Athlete Mr. Addison James to attend and participate in the 2025 CARIFTA Games in Trinidad and Tobago. We are also pleased to announce that Addison James is our newest brand ambassador. We have no doubt in our mind that Addison will excel at the 2025 CARIFTA Games and this will be another significant milestone in his Athletic Career. Addison is a winner, and he is sponsored by a winning financial institution,” remarked Mrs. Henderson-Reid.

Mr. James is recognized as one of the top junior male athletes in the Javelin throwing discipline. His accomplishments in the sport have distinguished him as a promising talent in athletics on both regional and international levels.

Brendan Williams, President of The Dominica Athletics Association, expressed excitement over CCCUL’s decision to name Addison James as their brand ambassador. He highlighted this choice as a strong endorsement of one of Dominica’s most talented young athletes. With his impressive track record and relentless ambition, the organization expressed confidence that James is set to excel on the world stage, beginning with the 52nd CARIFTA Games in Trinidad and Tobago.
