The Champ of the Camp competition is on tonight.
The show organized by the Showdown Mas Camp will be held at the Paradise Pier in Lalay Coco on the Loubiere Highway from 8:00 PM.
“The curtain will come down on the Showdown Mas Camp Calypso Tent season for this year’s Carnival Celebration at the ‘Champ of the Camp’ tonight, Tuesday February 25th, 2025,” Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Showdown Mas Camp Johnson Boston said.
According to him, this promises to be a “big and friendly” show celebrating the Calypso art form.
He continued, “The show will start with King Bobb, followed by performances from local guest calypsonians.”
Furthermore, Boston said the Champ of the Camp competition will proceed right after, “followed by two guest calypsonians from St Lucia, then Lady Esse, King Bobb, the reigning Champ of the Camp, Checko and will end with the 10-time Calypso King of Dominica [Dennison ‘Dice’ Joseph].”
Entry fee to the show is $25.
