Chef de Mission Albert Loblack has voiced strong confidence in Team Dominica as the delegation prepares to compete in the 2025 PanAm Junior Games. Speaking shortly before the Official Welcoming Ceremony, Loblack stated that he is optimistic about the athletes’ performance and anticipates a strong showing from the team.
This year, Dominica is represented by three national record holders: Jasmine Schofield in swimming, who competes in the 50m and 100m freestyle events; Addison James in athletics, specializing in the javelin throw; and Treneese Hamilton, also in athletics, competing in the shot put.
Jasmine Schofield has also been selected as Dominica’s flag bearer for the Grand Opening Ceremony, which will take place on August 9 at 7 PM PYT / 6 PM ET. The Official Welcoming Ceremony is scheduled for August 8 at 4 PM PYT / 3 PM ET. Both events will be held at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee–Olympic Park in Asuncion.
Viewers can follow the ceremonies and games via the PanAm Sports YouTube channel, and updates on Team Dominica will be available on the Dominica Olympic Committee’s Facebook page.
