COMMENTARY: Understanding the Palestinian Genocide

‘Dem terrorist mozlems ah gain? See how dey kidnap dose people, what happen to dose people nah? Dem Mozlems like war!’ Says some uninformed people who are uninformed about the Palestinian genocide. October 7th was very unfortunate however, this did not occur in a vacuum. It is impossible to describe in a concise article in detail the severe oppression Palestinians have faced for the almost 80 years. This article is to inform about the genocide taking place in Palestine.

This Zionist state has been oppressing the Palestinians for almost eighty (80) years. According to Encyclopedia Britannica Zionism is a nineteen (19th) century Jewish nationalist movement with the goal of creating a national state in Palestine. Barnavi (2018) in an article explains that the roots of Zionism during the 19th century started in Eastern Europe due to the pressures they faced at that time that made living in Europe extremely difficult. As a result of these challenges they theorized a number of solutions. One of the solutions was to overthrow the autocracy government there at the time, later the zionist ideology arose that possessed very radical implications and had the most tremendous result.

The term “genocide” has been increasingly used in reference to the suffering of Palestinians, particularly in the context of Israel’s ongoing military actions and policies toward them. This situation has led to widespread accusations of ethnic cleansing and genocide. Although there is debate over the use of the term, many human rights organizations and scholars argue that Israel’s actions constitute genocidal practices under the United Nations’ definition.

Genocide, as defined by the UN, involves acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. Since the establishment of Israel in 1948, Palestinians have faced systematic displacement, violence, and denial of their basic rights, which many argue fit this definition. The mass displacement of Palestinians in 1948, known as the Nakba, resulted in the expulsion of over 700,000 Palestinians from their land, a major event that continues to resonate through generations.

More recent escalations, such as the wars in Gaza and the continuing expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, exacerbate these claims. Israel’s policies of blockades, restrictions on movement, and destruction of Palestinian homes and infrastructure have left the Palestinian population in a state of constant suffering. The United Nations and organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have condemned Israel’s actions as violations of international law and, in some cases, genocide.

The repeated military offensives in Gaza, including Operation Cast Lead (2008-2009), Operation Protective Edge (2014), and Operation Guardian of the Walls (2021), have resulted in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, with the vast majority being civilians. These operations often involve indiscriminate airstrikes that target civilian areas, further intensifying the humanitarian crisis. According to reports, these actions disproportionately affect women, children, and other vulnerable groups, leading to accusations of a deliberate attempt to destroy the Palestinian population.

While some argue that Israel’s actions are motivated by security concerns in response to Hamas and other militant groups, others would argue these militant groups are actually resistance groups to the brutal Occupation. Despite this, many have concluded that the acts of Israeli “Self Defence” by the [sheer] scale of atrocities and destruction, amounts to collective punishment of an entire population, alongside restrictions on basic necessities like food, water, and medical supplies, is nothing less than systematic oppression. The blockade of Gaza, which has been in place since 2007, has turned the region into what some call an “open-air prison.”

The International Court of Justice has declared Israel an apartheid state citing multiple and serious international law violations by Israel towards Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Additionally, the chamber also found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Netanyahu and Mr. Gallant each bears criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population.

In conclusion, Dr. Francesca Albanese has articulated that the atrocities in occupied Palestine meet the definition of genocide. These atrocities are happening for the last seven (7) decades, until the Palestinian question is not solved the instability will continue in the Middle East.

There was no genocide in Gaza . Hamas attacked Israel killed over 1000 and kidnapped loads. Israel went in looking for there people . Hamas described to play badmind and not give the hostages back. Hamas then got a battered went into hiding and left the people they claimed they stood for to take the brunt of the righteous Israeli onslaught that followed.
Hamas and Gaza can play the victim all they want. But they went looking for it and then ran and hid when it came to them.
Hamas are still playing wrong and strong and brandishing weapons when handing hostages back
The people of Gaza need to stand up and kick hamas out or this will keep happening as hamas don’t ever learn to behave themselves
Stop backing hamas and helping them play the victim . Hold them accountable for what they started

The “victim” is not Hamas, but the thousands of innocent Palestinians and the few innocent Israelis who are sucked into a cycle of violence because of Isreal’s occupation of foreign lands. End the occupation and the blockade and you take away half of the problems in that region. More than 70% of Palestinians killed were women or children. Which one of them, in your view, is a “Hamas terrorist?”

and as i said there was no genocide but there was a hamas who poked the beehive and then ran and hide when the bees came looking for them

The resistance have every right to resist a brutal occupation that has been going on for the last 80 years. It is disliked that they had to take captives as well as prisoners of war however it is established it is for a prisoner swap for Palestinians languishing under inhumane conditions of torture and ill treatment from Zionist prisons.

The Palestinians are not “playing victims” they are fighting back for what is legitimately theirs, their land. They are fighting for their survivor and humanity. The resistance did not “hide” like Netanyahu in his bunker, they fought the Zionist for about 15 months inflicting deaths, maiming, post traumatic stress disorder and economic pressure on the Zionist society.

The resistance won the battle because the Zionist regime did not accomplish its objectives in Gaza, hence they celebrated this victory through guerrilla warfare or a war of attrition.

Cont’d… the resistance have won the media war, they have more support globally. Palestinians are not children that they should “behave themselves” – they have a fundamental right to resist an inhumane Zionist oppression.

The colonial project is coming to an end, the struggle must continue till Zionism is dismantled and thrown into the garbage of history like nazism was.

If the Palestinians are not free or continue under this condition unfortunately more “October 7’s” will take place.

You mean to say the Maroons’ revolt against colonial power was a mistake? That their families deserved to be massacred as a result? I don’t think so. If there had been Hamas among Israeli communities, would they have carpet-bombed the place? No, I don’t believe they would have.

As for “Hamas got battered,” the reality is quite the opposite—Hamas remains alive and strong, while Israel resorts to targeting women and children. If I were Israeli, I would feel humiliated by such cowardly acts.

Yes, Israel became a nation in 1948, but when did Gaza became one? Can you give us the month, year and the name of the prime minister or king of Gaza?
In some countries, there are functioning governments and some has terrorist groups within them. This is not the same with Gaza. Hamas is a terrorist group and at the same time, Hamas is the government of Gaza.
All the organizations mentioned means nothing. They are all hypocrites.
The only life that is valuable to Hamas, is Hamas. They hide among the civilian population and attacks Israel and when Israel retaliates, the hypocrites shout genocide.
God Almighty gave Israel all the land.

Thank you for your feedback Mr. J. John-Charles.

The deeper question you must ask is prior to 1948 who inhabited that land? Did they have a culture? Did they have a system?

According to a Jewish account, Jerusalem Post it cites, “Coins for Mandatory Palestine were minted from 1927 until 1946 and were based on the Palestine Pound. One Palestine Pound equaled 1000 Mils. My coin is a bronze two Mils one dated 1946.” https://www.jpost.com/jerusalem-report/how-was-israel-once-palestine-new-books-and-old-coins-680467. Hence Gaza, what is known as the “West Bank” and this entire area that the zionists occupy today was always known as Palestine. Additionally, it is established historically that Palestine was ruled by different rulers for thousands of years. However, prior to 1948 Palestine was under the Ottoman Empire to address your question.

As for Hamas or other resistance groups, if you do not have the oppression against Palestinians there will be no need for these groups…

…continued… We must also remember that Nelson Mandela who fought against South African Caucasian apartheid was labelled a terrorist by Magaret Thatcher and Reagan. https://www.biography.com/activists/nelson-mandela-terrorist-reagan-thatcher. Sadly these people were on the wrong side of history and you along with them will be on the wrong side of history by Allah’s will. Hence the idea that the Palestinian resistance are terrorists is zionist propaganda.

They hide among civilian population? No sir, Hamas has an elaborate tunnel system throughout Gaza according to CNN and other western news media. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/10/28/middleeast/hamas-tunnels-gaza-intl/index.html. Hence the idea that they are hiding among civilian popluation is a flat out lie, this is zionist propaganda to use indiscriminate bombing to force Hamas to give up. However, these tactics have proved unsuccessful…

        3. continued… – We can agree that these organizations such as the UN etc, are weak and do not deliver results on the ground, however, they possess genuine experts in their field hence it is fair to examine these conclusions. I understand this is difficult for you because these organizations as well as the global opinion no longer aligns with the zionist propaganda, people are waking up. Zionism must not only be “attacked,” it needs to be uprooted similarly to apartheid to South Africa because once this racist superemacist state remains this colonial project destroys peace in the middle east by extension the world. The more wars are fought in the Middle East, the more refugees are created, then they return to the west with more psychological traumas, this opens the floodgates of radicalism. Let’s close that door and uproot this zionist colonial project, return it to the archaic 18th century where it belongs.

        4. Continued… – Let’s suppose you are correct that “God gave Israel all the land.” Are you saying that this gives them the justification to use 2,000 lbs bombs to decimate a reported murder of 50,000 Palestinians mainly children? Does this give them the right for violent Zionist settlers to force Palestinians out of their homes through stealing and other systematic ways? One thief for example clearly states that he is stealing. https://youtu.be/KNqozQ8uaV8?si=NIB1m33qFnR8oQ9l. This video went viral. Is this what your God commanded them to do?

Additionally, you quoted Genesis 17:8, how could this be possible when Christians say they are no longer under the law? Why quote what is convenient to support a people who reject the Messiah Jesus peace be upon him whom Christians love? On the other hand, the very bible states that they are from the synagogue of satan. Revelation 3:9, “I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews…”

        5. continued… – How can you claim to believe in God yet endorse a people who have rejected Christ peace be upon him? It is reported in the Talmud, a top book used by the Zionists that Mary peace be upon her was an immoral woman and an insulting statement was said about the Messiah (p). According to religion facts it states, “a rabbi says that Jesus was born out of wedlock and his mother was a prostitute.” Hence, if your loving “Jews” reject your messiah how can you support such people?

Christ peace be upon him was a messenger and prophet of Allah who taught the Gospels to the people in his time. We love him and respect his mother peace be upon them. Get your Quran today and read chapter 19 called Chapter Mary and see the love Muslims have for both of them. So we do not worship Jesus (p), we follow him in worshipping the One Creator he worshipped, Allah the God of Abraham, the name of God in the Arabic language used by Arab Christians and Jews who speak Arabic language in…

I am disappointed that DNO did not include the 5 responses I wrote to you. All these responses had citations.

In short the Ottoman Empire ruled Palestine before the British.

Also, Nelson Mandela was called a terrorist by Magaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, they were on the wrong side of history and so will you.

Hamas fights using tunnels go research it’s called guerrilla warfare.

You can’t use Genesis when it suits you since christians claim they are no longer under the law. Revelation 3:9 states these Jews are from. The synagogue of Satan, they reject the messiah.

Tell the Zionists you support who don’t believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) to accept him.

Go to the ignorant, criminal demonic, tormented and wicked christian churches in Dominica.Let them know Israel became a state in 1948 on Palestians land with the help of the League of nations the US and the British.Let the rattlesnake pastor and his wicked acolytes know the Bible came into being 300 years after Jesus went to heaven.Jesus did not leave in Israel,he was living in Palestine wich was controlled by the Romans, give Caesar what is due to Caesar. And although we believe Jesus is the son of God and God,the Children of Israel the CHOSEN people from the 12 sons of Jacob does not think he is.Most christians in Dominica support the murder of more than 43,000 innocent Palestinian men, women and children by Israel.

You see why Dominica will forever be the way it is? I can safely say it is because of ignorance and stupidity of people like you!
In the first place when Jesus was on earth, the Bible teaches that he read in the Bible and closed it. I believe he was inside of a building I assume to be a place of worship!
Everything in the Bible pertains to Jesus Christ. His birth to the day he was crucified, and to this day focused on immediate happenings, and things yet to come.
So, if the Bible was written 300 years AD, from what book did he read from in the senigouge?
If you were as smart as you think you are, you would have known that the writing word of God was written as a scroll, and in book form in the Hebrew language only, until King James of England authorized the translation from Hebrew into English. How many years was that after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven?
You see it is idiotic people like you upholding Roosevelt crap why Dominica lacks progress!
