The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training, and National Excellence is set to host a Church Service in honor of Commonwealth Day 2025. This year, the celebration will take place on Monday, March 10, at the Roseau Cathedral of Our Lady of Fair Haven, specifically in St. Gerard’s Hall, starting at 10:00 AM. The event will revolve around the theme, “Together We Thrive.”
During the ceremony, Her Excellency Mrs. Sylvanie Burton, the President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, is scheduled to deliver the Commonwealth Day Message on behalf of His Majesty, King Charles III.
As is tradition, the occasion will welcome various esteemed guests, including members of the Cabinet and Parliamentarians. The Ministry also extends an invitation to the media for coverage of this significant event.
A Commonwealth of Nations without the UK and his Queen/King would make more sense. With the UK in it, it is the same as an association where the kidnapper and the kidnapped are together!
We have to thank the British Monarchy and its Kings for centuries of slavery, tortures, theft of our resources, injustices….
This is just a Colonial remanent, let us break the chains that remain to be broken with the oppressive Great Britain and its European partners! The Global South is awakening, justice for the Peoples of the World!
