Convent Prep issues statement on tragic loss of a ‘bright star’

Convent Prep has been left reeling after the tragic loss of one of its young students, Kimroy Dover, an eight-year-old from Stockfarm, who collapsed on the school grounds on Thursday and subsequently passed away.

In response to the heartbreaking incident, the school announced the suspension of classes for the remainder of the day to allow students and staff to process the tragedy.

A statement from the school’s staff expressed their deep sorrow, noting Kimroy’s bright personality and positive influence within the school community: “Kimroy was a bright star and a wonderful part of the Convent Prep family. He was an active, kind, and respectful child who was always well-mannered and well-behaved.”

The statement also highlighted Kimroy’s consistent academic achievement and his gentle, uplifting presence, which left a lasting impression on those around him.

School staff also emphasized the impact of the tragedy on everyone involved:

“Today, our entire school community mourns this tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and classmates during this incredibly painful time.”

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved student, Kimroy Dover. Kimroy was a bright star and a wonderful part of the Convent Prep family. He was an active, kind, and respectful child who was always well mannered and well behaved. In the classroom, Kimroy worked hard and consistently achieved academic success throughout his years with us. He will always be remembered for the gentle and positive presence he brought to our school.
Today, our entire school community mourns this tragic loss. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and classmates during this incredibly painful time. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of the entire Convent Prep family are with you.
Kimroy will forever remain in our hearts.
